A couple of nights a week, you sometimes found it a huge struggle to fall asleep, and tonight was one of them nights. You looked over at AJ who was peacefully sleeping so you carefully untangled his arms from you and walked down the stairs to the kitchen.
"I hate not being able to sleep." You groaned to yourself as your poured a glass of water from the sink. You quickly downed it before going back upstairs.
"What are you doing awake baby?" You asked noticing your sleepy looking boyfriend at the top of the stairs.
"I could ask you the same thing and I got cold when you weren't there." He admitted walking behind you and back into the bedroom.
"I can't sleep and I don't know why, it's starting to get on my nerves." You sighed smacking your head onto the pillow. AJ laughed at your silliness and pulled the duvet up so it covered you both.
"Come here Y/N." He whispered, you looked at him confused but did so anyway. Your head rested on his chest as his arms were cuddled around your neck.
"I don't wanna close my eyes, I don't wanna fall asleep, cause I'll miss you baby, and I don't wanna miss a thing." AJ started singing Aerosmith. You quickly pecked him on the cheek before going back to your original position. He continued singing as you started fading into a sleep.
"I love you AJ Mitchell." You mumbled closing your eyes.
"I sure as hell love you more Y/N Y/L/N." He whispered. Once you were asleep, he carefully shifted upwards to turn off the lamp. You slightly moved making him worried that he had woken you up and was glad when he realized you were probably in some sort of dream.
"Goodnight gorgeous." He kissed the top of your head and ended up falling back to sleep minutes later.
