Lucas Dobre - Divorce

You two had been married for a year and a half, and to say everything was a regret, was an understatement. Ever meeting him was a mistake and the fact you did everything so young made you sick to the stomach. A fight that lead to a house wreckage which then led to a physical fight between the two of you. It was time for it to end and the best thing you did was send through divorce papers. Now here you were in a courthouse, with your solicitor and big sister, along with Lucas, his solicitor and Marcus.

"We're here today to confirm the divorce of Lucas Dobre and Y/N Dobre." The judge stated. You took a painful breath in as your sister held your hand. As the judge began stating the rules, you made eye contact with Lucas, who looked broken. Damn right he should be.

"Mrs Dobre, your reason for the divorce would be?" The judge asked. You stood up.

"Your honor, with all due respect, this relationship went rocky from our honeymoon. It became way too toxic to handle and the love is gone. There is pure hatred now and I want Lucas, out of my life for good." Your voice cracked towards the end. 

"Thank-you Mrs Dobre, now Mr Dobre, your reason for agreeing to sign the divorce papers would be?" Lucas stood up.

"I agree with Y/N sir. Our relationship wasn't healthy and to stay married to each-other could've ended up in a lot more heartache than what did happen. I just want this divorce confirmed and we won't bother each other again." You could tell Lucas was lying, he didn't mean any of that because deep down he loved you so much. He never meant to hurt you the way he did and now it was too late. The love you once had for him was completely gone.

"Okay please be seated, I will discuss this with each of your solicitors. Stay silenced." The judge called up your solicitors and they began talking. Your head rested on your sisters shoulder as your chest heaved sadly up and down. After around half an hour, everything was coming to an end.

"Everyone, I would like to declare that the divorce of Y/N Dobre and Lucas Dobre has confirmed. I will need your signatures for one final time." The judge announced, you and Lucas stood up and both went to sign the papers.

"Miss, I know you want your surname changed back to Y/L/N, which is possible however, it costs and you will need to come back in a few days for the final processes of everything." You nodded shaking his hand.

"Anything to make me a less part of his life." You sighed. The court ended and you walked out of the building, thanking your solicitor and sister. Lucas walked up to you.

"If I could change things Y/N." He started off but you cut him off, tears brimming in your eyes.

"There are no ifs, there are no buts. You can't change things, I pray to god, I never see you again. I don't want anything to do with you." You told him and headed to your car, instantly crying as you sat down. This was the life you had to live, and sometimes it really did suck.
