Screaming was all one could hear from the house. Yet, no one was a around to hear the person. Not for miles around in all directions.
The young woman clutched her heart, panting. She could have sworn she saw a man no older than her. He had half of his face crushed into his skull and that he looked as though he had been burned by fire...
"It was nothing but my imagination..." she whispered to herself.
"Are you so sure, Miss?" A male's voice came.
Another scream left her throat, only this time it was cut short. A warm pair of lips on her cold ones. They were soft and kind feeling. Yet, something hid behind the welcoming lips of the invisible person.
"Why must you scream for the unknown?" The voice whispered in her ear.
"S-sorry... It's just that... This usually never happens..." She apologized.
"Its fine... I will show myself again to you in the mirror... Will you not scream at me?" The man whispered.
"No... Thank you for letting me know..."
For a second, the image in the mirror was the same. An aurban color of hair piled in a messy bun, fall green eyes bore into the woman. The lady in the mirror also had the same pale skin from not going outside until winter.
Then... There stood the man before... Only he looked more human. His eyes were red as blood with flecks of bright green. His skin tan and he looked muscular from working. His dark aurban hair looked liked he just came out of bed. Making him look kind a hot.
"Sorry that i had scared you before..." His eyes looked down, too ashamed to look the woman in her eyes.
"No... Its okay... It's just not every day that you see a ghost..." The woman says nervously.
The man nodded his head and chuckled.
"Was that how you'd died?" She asked suddenly.
The man stiffen as though what she had said was bringing up so many things.
"Yes... And by the one i had thought was my love." He said softly.
The woman's fall green eyes soften at his words. She knew what it felt to be betrayed... More than once.
"I'm sorry..." Her voice told the man.
His red eyes snapped up to look at the girl. The female wasn't the reason he was dead nor the reason his heart was broken... Yet... She apologized!
"I know what it feels like... Maybe not physically... But it felt like it..." The woman clutched her chest as tears fell down her cheeks.
"Miss... Do not cry for me or of your past! Please.!" The ghost cryed out as he wrapped his arms around her waist.
The mortal may not have been able to see it, but she was able to feel it.
"My name is Grace... What is yours?" Grace asked the man with a small smile.
"James." He said with a smile of his own.
If only she took the town's warning more seriously... Maybe then... Maybe then she wouldn't ne where she is now...
