The Sun watches over the world, making sure that the darkness is never there. But, it is almost impossible to have complete light. One side of the world would have to deal with the darkness all alone.

He hated seeing that his people would suffer and turn darker than the last night. Soon, they started to only shun the sun and praise the dark. Those that didn't cried and wept every time they had see the dark.

One day though, he saw a mother with a dark haired child walking through the snow. The woman looked sickly... She looked like a skeleton.

"Diana... Always be thankful for the light... For without light there is nothing... There will be only shadows and darkness... Diana... Be good for mommy... Please..."

The mother begged as she fell to her knees. Using her body, the mother of the child shielded her from the Sun's view. Just when he was about to go to the child, a man dressed in a cloak of darkness stole it.

The baby wailed and wept as the mother was too weak to save it from the man. The Sun was angered that his child was going to be tainted by such a man that he made himself hotter so he would be blinded.

The human man cried out in pain, dropping the baby. Yet, the child never hit the floor. The Sun had wrapped his warm arms around the cold baby.

She had stopped her crying and just stared at the Sun. Her eyes never turned away, nor did they burn. The opposite in fact. Her once green eyes turned into dark voilet colors, giggling as she reached toward the Sun.

He laughed at her ways and held her closer. She was cold, really cold! That was why she was okay with him holding her! She couldn't feel his heat, she just thought he was really warm!

He smiled down at her. She giggled again. Turning back to the mother, he saw that she had passed away with a smile, meaning she was okay with what he was doing. She was happy that her daughter was still alive.

Many years passed and the Sun started to see that people were fearing and praising the darkness less and less. In fact they seemed to have found a way to create their own light!

But that wasn't the only thing he had noticed. His little daughter had grown up into a woman. She had short black hair, pale light blue skin wiht dark circles under her eys. The only thing that had yet to change was her dark blue eyes.

One night, she had disappeared from his eyes.

More years passed before eh saw her again. She hadn't aged and she was glowing a soft white glow.

"Morning Father." she greeted a soft smiled on her mouth as she started to go away.

"What where were you for so many years!" He cried as she moved away even more.

"I was just lighting up the night father." Then she was gone.

diana giggled as she hide from her father's eyes. Many years ago she had made the moon. She draws her powers from it as her father's light gives it the power to shine brighter.

Every night she would go on the highest tower and bath herself in the moonlight, until the first rays of dawn. Even now she does so. She and her father only ever meeting up every hundred years.

And every time it is short lived. But, both are happy to see the other after a long time of playing catch. The moon is the sun's daughter, nothing can change that, no matter what.
