"Rosa! Run!" The queen shouted at her daughter.

The young woman looked around, frightened as the sounds of guns going off and cannons firing at the castle walls. Everyone was in panic, trying to run or hide. Yet, the pirates wouldn't let this happen. The evil men slaughtering men and women alike! They were evil!

"But, mother! The people!" She yelled over the noise.

The Queen's violet eyes met the same colored eyes that were within her daughter. She was pleading for her to leave. To survive.

"You must! Take your sister and hide! Don't come out no matter what!" The old woman yelled, handing over a small kid.

"Mommy!" She cried out as more tears fell from the violet and blue eyes.

"I love you both." The mother of the two children knelt in front of them, tears of her own falling from her eyes. "I will always be with you two." The woman said as she gave them two things.

A locket with their family portrait for the young baby princess. And a red amethyst ring for the teenage princess.

Those were the most prized possessions of the woman. Both of her children knew this.

"Now, run." She whispered, pushing them away as she picked up a sword.

This time, neither daughter said a word, but nodded.

Rosa picked up her baby sister and ran as fast as she could in heels and a dress. Half way down a long hall, Rosa tripped and fell. Despite of being dropped harshly, Lilly stayed quiet and tried to help her sister up.

The violet eyed woman yanked off the heels and ripped off some of the helm of her dress. It wasn't her favorite one anyway.

"Come on, hide in here." She gestured to the big door that was in front of them.

Quietly, the two opened and closed the door to be met with thousands of swords and other types of weaponry. Yet, the two didn't have time to get out of their for the heavy foot steps were drawing nearer.

Quickly, Rosa hid her baby sister in a pile of discarded armor. It was the best she could do right in the heat of the moment.

After that, she hid herself a little closer to the front and waited. For several agonizing minutes nothing happened, no sound could be heard.

"Where the bloody hell are those princesses!" Yelled a gruff voice.

Rosa's eyes widen as she sucked in a deep breath. They were looking for her and her sister! They were going to kill them!

All of a sudden the door broke down and a team of twenty men, some wearing the castle's armor, walked in. They were going to find her easily, she knew this. Unlike her tiny sister, the young woman was bigger and was near the front of the room!

Grabbing a dagger, she held it behind her back as she watched them get closer to where she was. Her heart was pounding. All she could hear was her heart beating, hoping that it wasn't going to give her away.

"There you are!" A solider yelled as he roughly yanked the black haired princess out of her hiding spot.

"Now, we can have some real fun." A man with a tangled beard and blacked out teeth said.

His smile was anything but welcoming. His smile was a hidden death promise. A promise that she didn't want.

"Now where's the brat that you love so much?" The man asked with a growl.

"That's Princess Lilly to you, pirate!" She yelled at him.

He didn't take kindly to that. The next second, she found herself on her side. On the cold, dirty ground.
