"Who are you, gorgeous?" A raven haired man asked me.

I just glared at him. The man may have been handsome, but he did attack me! All I was doing was flying around! I just wanted a sense of freedom from the hell I know as life.

"Not going to talk, eh?" He asked.

"Why should I when no one takes the time to listen to what I have to say?"I whispered.

At first he seemed shocked, then a smug little smirk played on his lips as he adavnced on me. I backed up until I had hit a wall because of my stupidity. This was going to be like home...

"Scared, Flora Dorada? Good. You should be scared of me, after all I run this city. No super hero or villain can be here without me knowing." He whispered in my ear.

A whimper left my lips as fear consumed me. I hated that fear, but it had kept me alive more times than not. Yet... I wished I was like some other people who were outrageous and did what their hearts desired!

"Now, little thing, what is your name." He growled.

I looked the man in the eyes as I spoke. A small bit of confidence somehow finding me.

"Goddess."

He chuckled as I cowered more under his gaze. I knew what he was thinking. I just didn't care no more.

"I-I have to go." I say as I use a spell I had taught myself.

I appeared a roof away from him and used my lightening speed to get away. I ran around before hiding a block away from my apartment that I owned... With my abusive roommate...

Just as I was about to give out a sigh of relief, pain flared in my body. I bit my lips as I fell to my knees.

I let the pain consume me, but I didn't cry out. Just as the pain began, it stopped.

I sighed as I looked around. No one was there. Good... I didn't need people to be around me.

I brushed off the dirt and started walking back to my home. I blended too easily in with the crowd, just like I taught myself.

Opening the door to my apartment, I walked in. I knew he was watching me, but I had to be careful and keep my head down.

"Where were you?" My rommate's voice was roughed and cruel.

"I-I went f-for a jog..." I whispered out.

He sighed and went back to talking with his friends. I took the chance as to go to my room.

For the rest of the night, I just watched the door. He normally comes in and hits me... Like Dad...

He didn't come in. Which I was thankful for.

For the next few weeks, I got use to my powers. By that, I mean I started to save people.

They were always so kind to me. It felt really good! Though... That raven haired man usually watches me from the rooftops.

Today, he decided to do something.

"Well, if it ain't the rookie." He sneered, his eyes cold as ice.

"I don't want to fight. Can I just go to my apartment, please?" I murmured as exhaustion held me by the throat.

He chuckled, making no move to let me go. His hand reached up and held my cheek.

I couldn't fight what he was doing. Nor did I care, I just wanted to get a real good nights sleep.

"Please? I'm tired... I just want to go to sleep." I begged him, tears brimming my eyes.

His cold ones softened, but he did nothing. His other arm wrapped around my waist, pulling me to his chest.

I gave up, I wanted sleep and my body was already shutting down. I closed my eyes, resting my head on his chest.

"Sleep well, Flora Dorada."
