Strange Day

I was going to the beach with Pidge, Shrio and Allura. It was the perfect day even! the best part was that no one was here to annoy us... Mainly me. 

"Come on guys! hurry up!" Pidge yelled as she took off her over shirt. 

Shrio laughed as he picked up the small girl as she yelled at him. Allura laughed she also took off her own over shirt. I noticed that Shiro had gotten a nosebleed from this. I chuckled as I tossed my red jacket and black shirt to the ground. 

Hunk only took of his own jacket, but left his beach shirt on. I shrugged as I started to run across the hot sand. It was a nice day. 

"Come on! Last one to the water is a rotten fish!" I yelled at them to get them moving. It worked as I saw the team moving like lions on a hunt! I laughed as I ran into the water, jumping in the air for a few seconds only to come back down to the iciness. 

I resurfaced only to be splashed by Pidge. 

"Why you-" I splashed her and soon it turned into a splashing war. 

We all laughed as we were enjoying our time. The sun was nice and warm, making the water a nice temperature. 

Slowly, I started to dose in the nice water, just floating on my back. Until-

"Keith! Get out of the water if you're going to sleep like Pidge!" Allura yelled in her mom voice. 

I jolt forward in shock as I was splashed by the demon herself, Pidge. 

I growled lowly as I walked out of the water. Laying one of my two towels down, I laid in the sun and tried to go back to sleep, though it was hard when all I could hear was laughter and giggling. 

After a few minutes, I sighed and sat up. I looked around and noticed that the others were further in the water than they were a few minutes ago. With a roll of my eyes, I got up and went to our cooler for a small drink. 

After finishing it, I laid back down. The sun was slightly lower and no one was here yet. I frowned. Normally school would have been out an hour ago after all me and the gang were here for half the day. 

Shaking my head, I sighed with boredom. Siting up again, I stretched and walked into the water. I wasn't going to far in since I had drank something several minutes ago. 

Slowly, the water got deeper until I had to swim to go to the gang. 

"Guys! Where are you!" I yelled out as I looked around, they were here a few minutes ago. 

Soon a I felt as though someone was behind me. Turning around, I jumped slightly at the sight of a young man's head! He had bright blue eyes, just like the sky, and light brown hair. 

He gave me a small wave as he smiled at me. That was when I noticed that he had sharp claws and webbed hands! His ears looked like that of a... A mermaid's!

I gasped in shock as I stared at him. He just laughed at my shock.

"Hi! You must be Keith." The merperson said in a smooth voice that would have surely taken a ladies heart. 

"U-um... Yeah?" 

I looked at him strangely. He looked both familiar but new. Why?

"Well, I think your friends are trying to find you!" He told me as he pointed to the shore.

Looking back to there, I saw that he was right! The gang were calling my name and looking around. I must've moved my stuff without realizing it, or something like that.

"Guess I got to go." I tell him, only to see that he wasn't there anymore and I some how had gotten closer to the land. 

"Keith! How did you get all the way out there!" Hunk shouted as worry crossed his figure. 

All I could do was shrug and swim to them. They laughed at me once they saw me. It took me a short while to realize that I had a water lily in my hair. It was a dark purple that turned into a dark blue near the edges of the petals and a dark red in the center. It was a beautiful flower. 

"I guess someone placed this in my hair without me looking." I said, shrugging again, still looking at it. 

"Come on and dry of, we should be leaving soon." Shrio told me, throwing me my other towel.

I caught and nodded at them. Quickly, I got dried and changed. Before we left I looked back at the water and smiled lightly. I still held the flower. 

I guess I know what I'm doing tomorrow instead of school.
