She was running. To where, she didn't know. All she did know was she had to run away from them.
She could here her own breathes. and heart beat as she ran down wooden docks, her feet landing with loud thuds. It seemed like the more scared she got, the storm around her got worse.
"Freez! You got no where to run Janice!" Yelled a man in a black suit.
He held a gun, a M99 to be exact. Janice ran a had through her wet hair that was matted to her face and neck.
"Why are you trying to kill me!" She yelled at him.
He only snarled at her to shut up, but his voice was drown out by the cl;ash of thunder and wild waves. Yet, Janice knew what he had said. She could read lips.
Not wanting to try and yell over the storm or get herself killed, she continued to run down the docks. The man started to open fire in that same second! She ran until she couldn't anymore.
She was trapped between the end of the dock and the only way out was to jump into the raging waters! In the winter no less!
"Hold still, you little brat!" The CIA man demanded, barely being heard.
"No... I won't." She whispered, jummping into the icy depths.
When she hit the water, she was surprised it was quiet and calm, as well as warm. Janice though didn't have time to stay underwater for long, so she had to get going.
She kicked her legs, propelling her forward, using her arms to help her see.
She swam until she needed air. Forcing her head up, the young woman saw that the storm had died down enough to be safe in the waters.
"Got to go to-" Before finishing, the exhaustion hit the woman hard.
Her body went limp in the waters, just as two large, snowy white birds flew by. One of them picked her up as they flew back to the place that very few people could just stumble upon. A place of hope, a place where she could finally be safe and be at home.
