Kiera was born with white hair along with a boy  named Kuzma. They were not brother and sister, nor were they related. Yet they were far too similar.

Both had white hair and bright blue eyes. Small button noses and were both lean.

When the two meet that day in kindergarten, they couldn't have been no more than complex. They looked at each with curiosity as other kids mocked their white hair.

"You two look like Jack frost!" A fat kid yelled out in middle of class.

"Yeah! Those two could make snow appear if we anger them enough!" Cheered another girl that looked liked the fat boy.

"And?" Kuzma asked in a light Russian accent that his parents had.

"Why is the color of our hair matter?" Kiera asked, a light Irish accent hidden in her soft voice.

"Yes, why does it matter? We all have different hair colors?" The white haired boy asked, a look of confusion on both of their faces.

The teacher had to step in front of everyone and start  teaching so there wouldn't be a fight between the kids. After that day though, the children picked and teased them for the simplest things.

It hurt sometimes when the other kids picked on them, but the two white haired children never swayed down the path of violence. Instead they started to study together.

"What is thirty-six times the square root of a hundred?" Kuzma asked, glancing up from their math books.

"It is three and six tenths." Kiera told with a smirk. Both seven year olds laughed at their little inside joke.

The next year, they were moved up three grade levels before the school finished. Even though they had basically missed out on everything that was taught, they still passed with the highest grades.

In the middle of the next school year, they went to middle school. The last year of middle school too.

"Okay. Class today we have two new students, please make them feel welcomed." A nice woman called to the class as the youngsters looked out in the advance class.

All the older kids peered down at them with disgust. Some were snickering. Did the two care? Nope! In fact they didn't mind that they had to stand on their chairs to just see over the heads of the people. They were happy... Until...

"Look at those two!" Yelled Helen.

Kiera and Kuzma rolled their eyes before they went back to talking about an up coming quiz. That was the plan anyway.

"Hey! Let us go!" Kiera screamed out as she and her friend started to kick and punch to get out of the tight hold of their bullies.

Them being younger and smaller than the others, were no match as they were drawing to the lake near them.

"Let Kiera go, you bastards!" Kuzma cried out as he struggled harder.

"How about, no! We want some fun," Cupid called out, a smirk on his face. His name was really silly and funny since it was almost true! Sadly, he was a jackass anytime he could be.

"Let us go, bourriques," Kiera yelled, her voice straining against her screaming.

"We just wanted to have some fun! Quiet being babies!" Snapped Helen as she slapped the nearest person. That person was Kuzma.

Everyone suddenly stopped. No had ever hit Kuzma before... He never had a bruise, never! Not even from falling down!

"..." Kiera stared wide eyed at the woman before her. She felt angry... She felt even more than that!
