Chapter One|| A little party never killed nobody

{Madeline's POV} -Madeline above-

"No absolutely not." I said standing and walking to my makeup mirror checking my appearance.

"Oh come on! It's a party at the power pack! They're always fun!" Mckenzie—my annoying but best friend— said begging.

"How do you even know this... Liza girl?" I asked turning to face her.

"Before I was mated to Dave, I lived in the power pack, and we were good friends!" She said and I sighed walking over and sitting next to her.

"Parties are just not me Mack, you know this." I said smoothing out my dress.

"Yes because you'd rather be in a tight corset walking around here in a fancy dress eating macaroons." We looked at each other and couldn't help but laugh.

"I do not do that! I don't do parties because you know who my cousin is! He'd have my head!" I said smiling at her.

"Yes everyone knows that King Christian is your cousin and the royal family has to be and look perfect. He should cut you some slack, you snuck out once and he went ballistic on you and you haven't been fun ever since." She joked and I rolled my eyes.

"I am too fun!" I squinted my eyes at her and she just smiled falling onto the bed.

"Just come with me, why do you want to be stuck here doing nothing? Please! Im going with or without you." She said batting her eyes and I groaned.

"Whyyyy." I whined and she grinned standing up.

"We must find you a dress!" She squealed.

"What's wrong with what I got on?" I asked looking down at my dress.

"Can you even breath with that corset on? You look like a royal thew up on you, this is a party, not a ball." I rolled my eyes.

"Im asking Christian though." I said heading towards the door.

"Are you kidding? You don't ask permission for parties!" She scolded.

"I do! I'd rather him trust me." I said opening the door.

"Oh my god, you're going to get the party busted!" Mack called out.

"He's cool!"

"He's a king!" She yelled after me and I laughed walking towards the steps to his office floor.

"A party?" He asked folding his arms.

"Yes, it's in Alpha Ryker's pack. It will be fine. Please Christian!" I said and he sighed.

"Alcohol?" He asked.

"Uh, no." I lied. He squinted his eyes at me and I gulped looking anywhere but him.

"Its just you girls right?" I thought about it.

"Yep." Another lie.

"I guess, but only if you're safe and keep watch." I smiled excitedly.

"Now go before I change my mind, the alpha's will be here any minute." he said and I immediately dropped my smile.

"Thanks." I said quickly hurrying from the room.

I made my way back to my room with a grin.

"He didn't." Mckenzie said standing up from my bed.

"He did. I may have told a couple minor lies, but he'll never know."

"Party time!!" She screeched.
