{Madeline's POV}

Days passed, weeks passed, and eventually months. That emptiness never left, but I did start to pick myself up and slowly put me back together... with the help of Ryker of course.

After losing a kid... I didn't even want to try anymore because I couldn't face the fact that it could happen again.

Time helps, but memories never leave. They're stuck imprinted in your brain and even the little things jolt that memory back to the surface.

The same memories were flooding through my brain as I stared down at the test before me.

Positive, I read.

Could this really be happening? Has the goddess finally blessed me with what i've been yearning for months over?

No, it's not that easy.

Should I tell Ryker?

I should wait.

Will he be mad if I keep this from him?

Probably.

I can't get his hopes up anymore. He wasn't himself after my miscarriage as much as he denies it. I still feel like apart of him is empty much like myself.

I need to tell him.

But do I?

I'll wait a week to knock out any doubts.

I continued the inner battle with myself for a couple more minutes and finally decided as I took the test and shoved it in my makeup bag.

I need to wait a couple days.

I sighed walking out of the bathroom and as if speaking of the devil he just walked into our room.

"Good morning, babe." He said and I noticed he was all sweaty.

"Early training?" I asked and he nodded walking over to place a quick kiss on my lips.

"Couldn't sleep, been up since four this morning."

"Yuck." I said and he let out a laugh.

"I know, you love your sleep." He joked grabbing some clothes from the closet and I nodded as he walked back out.

"And coffee." I added.

"And coffee." He repeated shooting me a wink.

"I'm going to take a quick shower and then i'll meet you down for breakfast?" I nodded.

I was starving

As I made my way downstairs I heard laughing and giggling. I walked into the kitchen and saw McKenzie, Alessia, and Dimitri all standing around the cutest baby girl.

"She looks just like you." McKenzie said and Alessia grinned even bigger.

"I know! And she had Dimitri's eyes!" She beamed.

Last month Alessia had her baby. Alessandra was her name. She was too cute, I had to admit. I was so jealous I could hardly look at them. Envious of something I thought i'd never have.

Alessia and Dimitri were building a house and it was almost finished. They'd be moving out and into it soon. McKenzie and Dave have a house here but she is in our home mostly.

McKenzie had a hand around her swollen belly, any day now and she'd pop.

I made my presence known as I fully walked into the kitchen and they quietened down.
