Chapter Twenty Five|| Dimitri

{Madeline's POV}

My heart was racing by the second and my breathing was almost extinct. 

His arms were still around me as if he couldn't believe I willingly agreed to his suggestion. 

"Madeline... you never seem to fail at amazing me." He said with a husky chuckle as his hands slipped behind me finding the zipper. 

"I tend to do that to some people." I joked and he grinned slowly bringing the zipper down. 

"Is that so?" he asked with a certain glint in his eyes. 

I only shot a grin to him and pulled my arms from the dress' sleeves and felt the dress become loose at my shoulders and I had to hold it to my chest to take a moment. 

"Someone shy?" He asked and I nodded. 

"I've never..." I started and his eyes widened. 

"Im glad." He responded and placed a kiss on my forehead. 

"You didn't think so?" I asked and he chuckled. 

"Look at yourself, Madeline. I can barely resist." he said and I smiled. 

"Well, you're my mate." I said and he shook his head. 

"You should see the way males look at you. You're yearned for. Luckily, you're mine." He said in a huskier voice and I watched as a purple tint started to coat his eyes. 

"I'm yours." I agreed and he pulled me to him, chest to chest, and slowly placed a kiss on my lips. 

"I love you." he said and my heart warmed. 

"I love you too, Ryker." He started to lean back in when there was a sharp knock on the door and Ryker was quick to let out a growl of annoyance. 

He turned us where his back was to the door and he shielded me incase anyone walked in. 

"What?" He yelled out and I smacked his chest lightly and gave him a 'behave' look. 

"You're needed, alpha." The voice belonged to Alessia and his head dropped. 

"You've got to be kidding me." He mumbled. 

"Now? Can it wait?" I held in my chuckle by bringing a hand to my mouth and he squinted his eyes at me as if saying 'i'll get you back'. 

"Yes, alpha, we've got some information on the men that attacked Madeline and McKenzie." She spoke from behind the door and Ryker immediately went into alpha mode. 

"Ill be in my office shortly." He said more seriously and sighed placing a kiss on my forehead. 

"For another time, love." He said and I mentally wanted to praise the Goddess. 

"Can I come with?" I asked as he let go and turned to head for the door. 

"I don't think that's a good idea right now, gattina." He said facing me and I saw his eyes shining a bright purple and I slowly nodded understanding. 

"Fill me in later?" I asked.

"Of course." He took a moment and shook his head and the color slowly started to fade back to his original eye color I loved. 

He was quick to leave and I sighed looking down at my dress. 

"You're a winner." I spoke and chuckled at myself. 

I let the dress fall to the ground and I leaned over picking it up and laid it on the bed. 

I went to grabbed one of Ryker's tees to throw on when the door opened and I let out a shriek trying to run to the closet as quickly as possible but did not make it.
