{Madeline's POV}

"Dimitri asked to meet with me." Ryker stated as we looked through some papers in his office.

"Really? Why?"

Dimitri had been staying here still and ever since his visit he never went back to Italy. We could only conclude it was a matter of time before we could see what he really wanted other than pestering us every chance he got.

"No clue, but I feel his is scheming." Ryker said laying down the papers and I followed his actions and looked up to see him in thought.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"He never stays for a visit this long. The last time he came here it was for a week and he needed money for goddess knows what. It's been three weeks... it's more than money this time." He said and I too was confused.

"Maybe... he met someone else? Maybe he wanted to be accepted into the pack?" I countered and he shrugged.

"Maybe... but I just don't see that happening. He is the last person to be tied down, trust me." He picked back up his papers.

"When does he want to meet?"

He looked at his watch, "He should be coming up any time now actually." And as we were speaking of the devil we heard a knock on the door.

"Come in." Ryker said and Dimitri walked in with his usual confident stride and in his expensive crisp, clean suit.

"Look at that, you learned to knock." I mocked and he rolled his eyes taking a seat in front of us.

"I bet you're wondering why I asked to meet." he said getting straight to the point and folded his fingers together.

"Wondering? Yes. Caring? No." Ryker said sitting back and I held in my laugh.

"Well, this time is different. I don't need money. I don't need anything, but I just needed to inform you of something." He said hesitantly.

"Im waiting." Ryker shot back and I lightly smacked his arm.

'Behave!' I mind linked and he only rolled his eyes in response.

"I found my mate within your pack."

I knew it.

Ryker's eyes widened and he glanced at me for a split second.

"That's... surprising. Did you accept one another? When did you meet her?" He questioned.

"Yes, and the day I got here actually."

"Who is it?" I asked.

"Alessia." Dimitri responded and I'm shocked my jaw didn't just hit the ground right then. The look on Ryker's face was priceless.

"So you've known this for almost a month and didn't tell me?" Ryker said clearly not liking the fact he kept the information about his beta from him.

"She didn't want to yet. She wanted to let everything die down. You had more important things to worry about at the time." He said and Ryker's eyes squinted.

"And? There's something you're not telling me." He said.

"Im taking Alessia back to Italy with me.. un-"
