{Madeline's POV}
I sat staring at what laid before me. It was still early in the morning. The grass was still dewy and the birds were still chirping.
"I don't know what's happening," I said to no one, "I feel that every chance of freedom we get, something come crashing in and we'll never be free." I admitted.
"And now McKenzie is drug into my mess. It may have not been my fault, but it sure feels like it. She's scared out of her mind. Her mate can't even calm her nerves. He came with some of their stuff and they've been staying with us for a bit. I walk past her room some nights and hear her cries; cries for help. It hurts to know there's nothing I can do.
She's supposed to be married in two weeks. How will she get past this? How can I help her get past this? It's not going away anytime soon it seems like. If only you were here, dad." I mumbled wiping a tear.
The freshly put flowers I placed were blowing softly from the breeze.
I knew Ryker was sitting in the car feet away but I knew he was hearing every bit of this. I had asked him to take me here after McKenzie's vision and he had agreed.
The cold air nipped at my cheeks and the tears trailing down them wasn't helping. My wolf side seemed to be distant lately. I used to never get cold. It's like she's backed up in a corner; frightened.
I felt a jacket being placed around me shoulders and I looked to the side seeing it was Ryker's suit jacket.
"Lets get you warm, love." He spoke softly and I nodded.
He helped me to my feet and I stared up at him with side eyes.
"Im sorry, babe." He said bringing his hands up and his thumbs slowly wiping away my tears.
"It's okay." I croaked out and he was quick to pull me into his embrace.
I was never the one to cry, but today that was different.
I bawled.
I held onto the sides of his jackets as he held me tightly against him and I just let it all out. His hand held the back of my head to his chest and his other placed on the small of my back.
"I never wanted t-this."
"I know, love."

We eventually made our way back to his pack. It was a long drive but the trip was much needed.
As we pulled up I saw Renee's car at the house. Confused, I quickly got out and headed inside with Ryker trailing behind me.
Her scent was strong from the kitchen and I made my way towards it.
"Here." I heard her say as I walked in and saw her handing a cup of something to McKenzie who looked drained.
"Oh, hey." Renee said softly looking back at me.
"Hey, what are you doing here?" She nodded her head towards McKenzie.
"She asked me to come over. Asked me if I knew anything that would help her clear her mind and I know just the concoction that will. It's some special herbs and tea." She explained and I nodded.
"Where were you?" Renee asked placing the tea pitcher in the sink.
"Visiting my dad's grave." I replied and she gave me a sad look.
"Im sorry." I shrugged, "It's okay. Im used to it."
"Feeling any better, Kenz?" I asked directing my attention towards her and she shrugged.
