{Madeline's POV}

"I'm just saying that if you're opening another club you shouldn't make it on human territory." I said and Ryker gave me a confused look.

"Why? That is more money for me. The humans won't dare step onto our territory and that means it'll just be wolves, which means I'll also have to double up on the amount of wolfs venom sold, which can be expensive." He countered.

"Yeah, but a lot of wolves won't stay on human territory for more than an hour. So really it's just humans at your clubs. If you have a club on wolf territory, they'll feel safer. You would just raise the price on wolf's venom just a bit and poof there's your money. Plus, I'm sure some humans are willing to be dangerous a little and temp your club, just like us wolves do." I countered back.

He thought about it for a moment and sighed.

"Fine. What shall I name it?" He asked.

"Occhio del lupo." I said and his eyes widened.

"I've been reading Italian for dummy's." I admitted sheepishly and he let out a chuckle.

"Eye of the wolf... I like it." He said smirking and leaned forward writing something down.

He sat the pen down and looked at his watch with a sigh.

"I have to go do a perimeter check with Alessia." He said standing.

"What?" I asked.

"Well ever since the war happened, Alessia and I decided it would be best that we do a run with the guards on perimeter watch once a week."

"That's a good idea." I said and he nodded walking over and leaned down giving me a soft kiss on my lips.

"I see you later, gattina. Mind link me if you need me." He spoke and I smiled nodded.

"Of course." I followed him out and as he walked downstairs, I headed to our room.

As I walked in, I could hear my phone ringing and I quickly walked over answering it.

"Hello?" I put it between my ear and shoulder and started making the bed up.

"You move packs and suddenly I do not exist?" She spoke and I laughed fluffing a pillow.

"Hello to you too, McKenzie." I replied.

"Im you're best friend. I miss you." She said sighing.

"I miss you too, Mack. It's been too long, and I'm sorry for not calling. It's just been so chaotic." I said truthfully.

"Don't worry, I understand. I guess being mated to an Alpha makes it that way." She said.

"You would be right." I thought about it and before she could reply, I spoke up. "How about you come over next week?" I asked and heard her squeal.

"Oh, I would love to! A girls day out sounds amazing. I have big news to share." She said and I could practically hear her grinning.

"I'm excited to hear it." I responded finally being done making the bed and grabbed the phone.

"Im coming!" I heard her call out, "Sorry, the mate just finished making me dinner, I'll call you later, Mads." I smiled.

"See ya next week."

The line went dead and I chuckled thinking about Mckenzie and me and our crazy ways before we both had mates.

I heard loud voice and my brows furrowed as I listened closely.

My wolf hearing barely picked up on the commotion heading towards the house from outside. I quickly walked to the window that was facing the backyard and saw Ryker carrying a woman in his arms and was running up with the doctor, Alessia, and a few other men.
