{Madeline's POV}
I groaned as my eyes fluttered open.
Ryker was the first person who came into view who sat next to me on a chair. I went to sit up but was restrained.
Looking at my wrist I saw I was handcuffed to the bed.
"Ryker, what the hell?" I asked and he jumped up from his sleep and looked to me.
"You're awake." He mumbled running a hand over his face.
"Obviously. What is with," I shook the cuffs, "These?"
"You don't remember?" he asked.
"No?"
"You just went blank. I couldn't feel any emotion through our bond and you started marching towards the door and I went to grab your arm and you just turned and just by looking at me, I was thrown backwards. It allowed you enough time to leave the room and I got up after you to see where you were going."
"And?"
"And... you ended up in McKenzie's room. She was asleep for the most part with sweat coating her forehead. She was shaking and mumbling things, but the second you entered the room... she stopped. Her eyes opened and she sat up quickly looking like she was about to scream again when in seconds you were by her side catching her stare and just started whispering, and it wasn't in english. It was the scariest shit i've ever witnessed." He told me and my heart was pounding.
Was what Renee said true? Could McKenzie be ... the wailing woman?
"You need to get Renee over here, now." I said and his eyes widened.
"Why?"
"Just... trust me."

"So you're saying a siren has an other half?" Ryker asked as McKenzie, Renee, and I sat in his office.
"Exactly." She replied.
"What would happen if the two ever met?" He asked and she thought about it.
I looked to McKenzie who was silent and has been all morning. What had she been dreaming about?
"They would call out to one another to notify each other's presence."
"Well, I wasn't calling out to anyone." I said and Ryker looked at me confused.
"You were humming." He spoke.
"Humming?" I asked and he nodded.
"You were turning and tossing all night, but you were humming while doing it. I thought you were just trying to get your mind off something." He spoke seriously.
"Who would I call out to?" I asked and Renee turned looking at McKenzie.
"You said she screamed?" She asked and I nodded.
"She was answering your call. She was notifying you that she was there. That the wailing woman was wakened in a way. You woke that side of her." She replied with widened eyes.
"Oh my Goddess." I mumbled walking over to Ryker who quickly pulled me into his embrace.
"It's not possible." McKenzie croaked out still in a daze.
"I just think it's odd that this is happening all of a sudden." I said and Renee shrugged.
"Fate works in mysterious ways. When your siren side was woken, it was only time until you found each other." She said.
