Kara's POV

I was sitting at the dinner table listening to my date go on and on about himself, and quite frankly it was getting extremely annoying. My mind couldn't help but venture to earlier today, with Y/n to be specific. I'm really glad he got on so well with Alex. But, if I'm to be honest, Y/n has been worrying me lately. When he said "Gotta step up my game" it kinda set me off a bit because he told me that he wasn't doing well in some game but Y/n doesn't like games at all, which means he's lying to me. But why?

I was trying to figure the whole thing out until my date snapped his fingers twice in front of my face, causing me to jump. "What's your deal?" He asked. "None of your business." I thought But, I figured, why not be polite it's not like this is long term. "Nothing, so...what were you saying?" He looked at me as if I had just insulted him, which in a way I had. "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" He yelled, "Were you not listening to me?" He was obviously butt-hurt over this. "No...was I supposed to be?" He walked away from our table before muttering something, I decided not to waste my superhearing on it.

He stopped and said something to the girl that waited on our table, and then left. I rolled my eyes and put my chin in my hand, and watched the news. "We Are Currently Recording This Live Event Of A Plane Scheduled For Geneva, And It Seems To Be Flying Around The Town In Circles. Eye-Witnesses Have Reported The Plane Being Shot By An Unknown Weapon Of Sorts."

And boy, did that shake me. I looked to the barista. "DID SHE SAY GENEVA?!" that's where Alex was headed. I grabbed my coat from the back of my chair and darted for the door, I knew what I had to do. No Second thoughts about it. My sister was in danger and right now, I was the only person that could save her and the other passengers on the plane. I ran to the closest isolated alleyway I could find. Spotting the plane slowly descending and about to crash into the bridge. I stood there staring up at the sky, wondering if I could even fly anymore.

It's been years since I've last flown. But now wasn't the time for anxiety to take over, I had people to save, I had family on that plane, and it was my chance to save them. So without a second thought I dropped my coat and I dashed jumping once, no luck, jumping twice, no luck again. But the third time I jumped I started to fly and within seconds I was off into the night sky to save my sister. I faintly remember what this felt like, flying. Feeling the wind whip my face, off to wherever my destination was. And in this case, it was to save a plane from crashing into a bridge. "What luck." I sarcastically thought.
