                          Y/N'S POV

"Deep breaths...Inhale...Exhale...In...Out..." This really sucks, this deadline is gonna be the death of me...literally. I leave the copying room and look around me to see everyday people, doing their everyday jobs, and I fit in right along with them...it fucking sucks.

I sit down at my desk and immediately start thinking of ways I can lie myself out of this whole "savior" story. I then hear the click-clacking of heels and immediately think it's Ms. Grant and of course I had to be right.  "Excuse me, do you have what I need yet??" She asks impatiently.  "Uhhh, why yes I do Ms. Grant...may I speak with you in private in your, uhm office please?" I literally just saw Kara falling off the edge of the building.

I got this. I got this. I got this. As we enter her office I can feel my hands start to sweat, which is rather funny considering I'm not usually this nervous.  "Well maybe that's because you just saw Kara jump off the building!" Oh yeah..  "So, what is it?? Chop Chop, I haven't got all day!" I can see Kara.  "Well you see Ms. Grant I was thinking maybe we should slap a name on this chick, y'know, make things easier for those who want to gossip about her." I propose rather dumbly. I saw Kara.

I have gotten pretty tired of calling her 'The plane savior' and shit like that. "Mhmm, go on." She urges me while giving me a look of intrigue.  "I-well I was thinking maybe superwoman, cuz y'know she's a woman and-uh, super." I trail off awkwardly. I. Saw. Kara. "Hmm, NO! Give me something else. Keep trying. And don't say 'cuz' *because*," she makes sure to emphasize,  "it makes you sound like an idiot."

I look at her dumbfounded. 'Something else'? It's only been like 15 minutes. "I'm sorry, what do you mean 'Something else'? I apologize Ms. Grant but you only gave me 15 minutes to do something with this I don't have much else." I explain lamely...like a dolt. If I wanna help Kara out I've got to do better than this. She goes to look out he window. So I start drumming my fingers on her desk. She hates that. "Think, (Y/N), think. KARA IS LITERALLY COUNTING ON YOU!"

I feel like my head is gonna explode. The girl I've got a thing for is an alien, and that's not the problem. The problem is keeping it a secret from nosy ass people. And on top of that I've got to keep her from knowing. But I *also* gotta stop Ms. Grant from seeing Kara. I feel important *because* she's depending on me. And I also feel stressed because this woman is going to be the death of me.

"Well then, get out of my office and go work on it. I've now given you more time. You're welcome. And stop tapping on my desk, it's aggravating." She shoos me out of the room without even looking up. Until, she does.  "Go. Get out and get me a name and some information, boy." Sheesh woman! "Y-Yes ma'am.." She goes to look out the window again. "I- uh I would but I've got a question to ask first." Kara could come back up at any moment. " What is it, boy? I've got things to do." "Focus. Focus. Think!"

My eyes drift to the window, and Ms. Grant goes to look. "I WAS WONDERING WHY YOU'RE HAVING ME DO ALL OF THE WORK! I-uh-uhm being that you're the chief here and all..." Her head snaps back to me. "Don't raise your voice at me, boy. I can have you out on your ass like that!" She snaps her fingers for effect. "Why of course, but I can't help but think that I'm somehow a favorite of yours because you specifically came to me." I taunted.

"Oh really? Well then, you are no longer on this detective project, effective immediately." No problem just don't look out the window. But I looked anyway. Only to see Kara zip back upwards and my jaw drops as she waves at me and keeps it moving. "What? What are you looking at?" Rut-Roh" Oh. I know! " I was just...just admiring your magnificent beauty, Ms. Grant..." I rubbed the back of my neck as she regarded me skeptically. " Hmm, well at any rate, I stick by what I said. Out." No problem lady, Deuces.
