Chapter 8: Too strong

( Mitch's POV )

I leaned in to kiss Jerome, I was afraid he would call me disgusting or leave me hanging, but surprising... He started to lean in also!

My heart started to beat faster as we were about to kiss.. Then I heard someone scream "STOOOOP!"

I looked up, and saw a very angry girl swimming straight towards me, I panicked and tried to swim away

But she was a VERY fast swimmer and she caught up to me. She grabbed my neck and pushed me underwater

'So it was her, she tried to drown me before, so I can stay away from Jerome." I thought to myself as I struggled to break free of her grip

"LET HIM GO!" I hear Jerome say.. I see Jerome trying to overpower the girl, but she was too strong and grabbed Jerome with her other hand, and pushed him underwater also

"S-toop, Val-entine!" I barley hear Jerome say underwater.. I hear the girl, named Valentine, laughed as she watches us run out of air

"NO ONE BREAKS MY SISTER'S HEART!" Said Valentine as she tighten her grip on my neck..

I looked over to Jerome, he was trying to conserve his air, he looked over to me also, our eyes locked

I don't know why, but I kissed him underwater, it was soggy, but sweet.

And that's all I remember before it all went white.

I opened my eyes, I was still at the beach, lying down on the sand, and I saw Tyler giving me CPR.

In other words, he was kissing me, but I didn't care, he saved my life..

I coughed up water, and Tyler's eyes widened.

"Oh Mitch! Thank the heavens you're alive!" Said Tyler as he gave me a hug.

"No Tyler, Thank you.." I said to him with care, I looked past Tyler, and I could see the whole gang crying for me, I couldn't help but cry also.

"Wait... Tyler, where's Valentine?" I said with concern as I pulled back from the hug

"She's going to jail for attempting murder" said Tyler as he pointed towards the police car on the road.

Then, I remembered something

"WHERES JEROME?" I asked Tyler as I shook him a little.

Tyler gave me the sad look

"He's in the hospital Mitch.."
