"What about her?" I ask nervously
"I know Harvey." Max says
"Know what?" I ask
"I know you like her." He says
"That's impossible. Because..because..I like Laney." I say trying to hide the fact
"Harvey.." Max says
"No Max, you got it all wrong. I like Laney.
Not Camille. I couldn't like Camille even if I wanted too." I say backing away
"Harvey, please calm down. It's okay. I'm not mad." He says
"Why would you be mad in the first place?" I ask quickly
"Harvey. Listen to me. I know you liked her. I know my own twin brother. And it's okay. I should've known when you did, I should've seen the subtle hints. I'm sorry." He says
"I'm sorry Max. It's just I liked her and I don't know." I say scratching the back of my head
"Don't worry about it okay?" He says
I nod.
"Do you really like Laney?" He asks
"I don't know.." I say looking down at the floor
"She's a nice girl.." max says
"I don't really wanna talk about it." I say remembering the picture from this morning.
"Ok." Max says nodding slowly
I nod, whatever happened between me and Laney last night I'm not ready to talk about it because I don't even know what happened.

I stare at the picture on my phone while sitting on my bed. We're clearly at a party because there's other people behind us cheering or yelling.. I look at the cups in our hands. Something tells me it's alcohol, and we were drunk, or high. A part of me wants to delete the picture and forget about the whole thing, but the other part of me wants what's in the picture. I sigh and turn my phone off. I lay back on my bed and close my eyes, trying to clear my head.
"Harvey!" Max yells as the door slams open
I quickly sit up seeing Max standing slightly angry and confused at the door.
"What?" I ask
"What's this??!" He asks shoving his phone into my face
I take the phone from him and see the picture that I was just looking at.
"I don't know." I finally say
"What do you mean you don't know?" Max asks
"I don't know! I don't remember what happened last night. I woke up this morning and Laney was on the floor asleep." I say
"Well one, you're at our house, and two it looks like a party, and three you're kissing Laney." Max says
"Yeah I got that. Since when was there a party here??" I say confused
"Who knows. But you need to get this cleared up because everyone thinks you're dating her and you guys hooked up." Max says raising his eyebrows
"Ughhhh." I say putting my head in my hands
"Don't worry Harvey, things will work themselves out." Max says patting my back.
"Let's hope so." I say

Later, I walk up to Laney's house to sort things out. Whatever happened we need to figure it out because I can't let this bother me forever. I knock on her door, she opens.
"Harvey?" She asks
"Hey.." I say
"What are you doing here?" She asks
"We need to talk." I say
"Ok.." she says
She invites me in, I kick my shoes off and follow her to her bedroom. It's a pretty baby blue color.
"What's up?" She asks sitting down on her bed
"We need to figure out what happened last night." I say
"Yeah.." she says
"Do you remember anything?.." I ask
"Um..yeah.." she says
"What?" I ask
She doesn't answer at first, then she does.
"We were hanging out, I suggested that you should come to this party I was going to last night. You said sure..so we went. Then the next thing led into another and yeah.." she says
"So why don't I remember any of it?" I ask
"Um..my friends put this thing in your drink so you wouldn't remember it." She says
I sit there. Not knowing what to say.
"So you just let them do that?" I ask
"I'm really sorry Harvey." She says
"Forget it Laney." I say getting up to leave
"I'm sorry." Laney says again
I shake my head. I rush out of her house. And I thought we were friends. I really thought.
