Max's POV
I wake up early the next morning, everyone else is still asleep. I grab some fresh clothes from mine and Harvey's suitcase and jump in the shower. I do a quick rinse and clean, brush my teeth, get dressed, comb my hair, wash my face, apply new deodorant and done. I step out and everyone is still asleep. I check the time, 8:00 am. We meet Mrs. Colby at 10:30 for the tour of the school. I glance at everyone again and slip out the door. It's quiet in the hallway, I look down each way, I begin walking the other way we went for dinner. It doesn't lead to much, just a window. I peer out the window, there's an outdoor pool, parking, and some trees. I hear a door open, I spin around and see Chara come out of her room. I watch as she glances at my hotel room and walks in the other direction I'm in. I quietly follow her. She's fully dressed too, she must've just got ready. I watch as she pushes the elevator down, I hesitate but quickly jump in with her at the last moment. No way am I taking the stairs again. She steps back when I get in. "Uh..hey Max.." she says "Hey." I say There's a moment of silence as we ride down, kind of awkward. "So where are you going?" I ask "I just wanna walk around for a bit." She says "Can I join you?" I ask "I guess.." she says "If you don't want me to it's okay. Just tell me." I say "No, no. It's fine.." she says I nod. I follow her out of the elevator and out of the hotel. It's warmer than yesterday, we walk in silence down the street. "About last night.." I start "Don't even worry about it okay?" She says quickly and flatly "No Chara I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bring it up." I say She shakes her head. "So you have a bunny addiction?" I ask teasing "No I don't." She says sternly I put my hands up in defense. "I'm just joking." I say She rolls her eyes. I scratch the back of my neck, she continues to walk in silence. Is she not gonna address the fact that I told her I liked her last night? "So you're just not addressing the fact that I told you I like you?" I ask letting my question come out "Look Max I'm not turning this into a sappy love story okay? I've already had enough of those. I just need some time alone." She says "Okay.." I say quietly I stop walking and watch as she continues on without me. "Max! There you are!" I hear someone say I turn around and see Harvey jogging to catch up. "Where have you been?" He asks "Out." I say "Where's Char?" He asks I point in her direction. "Char!" Harvey calls She turns around, he motions her back. She huffs and begins walking back to us. "What?" She asks clearly annoyed "We were looking for you guys. Come on parents want you back." Harvey says "Ugh fine." She says She crosses her arms and begins walking back in the direction of the hotel. "What's up with her?" Harvey asks I shrug. "Nothing." I say and start walking ~ After having breakfast and getting dressed we get in a car to go to the school. It's quiet between me and Char, she just stares out the window the whole ride. "Char you've been awfully quiet everything okay?" Her mom asks "I'm fine." Char says flatly I glance over at her, she catches my eye and glances over but then quickly looks away. I sigh. We pull up to a big building with an entrance gateway and a fountain in the middle of the circle drive. "Wow." Dad says "This place is so big." Mom says "It's amazing." Ms. Paella says Dad parks the car and we all jump out. "My guests have arrived!" We look over and see Mrs. Colby coming out of the building with a big smile plastered over her face. She brings us into a big hug. "Max, Charlise! Welcome to the London, England Performing Arts School of Talent! Are you ready for the grand tour?" She asks with her British accent We both nod. "Great! You two are gonna love it here, now follow me." She says Everyone follows her inside the building. It's even bigger inside, two staircases on both sides leading upstairs. "This is the main entry way but of course there are other doors for entry and exit." She says We follow her past the stairs and into a hallway. "Down this way is the lounge area, and library. Over this way is the classrooms and lunch halls." She says pointing to both sides of the hallway "Kids mainly study or work on their arts or homework in the library. Lounge area is to relax and play board games and have some fun after a long day. While you're here you will be taking regular classes but your main interest is your main class." Mrs. Colby explains We nod, I peer down each sides of the hallway, it looks promising. "We do now offer for kids to stay here through the year if they'd like. We just added that upstairs, so one side are for their girls and the other side is the boys." She says "Oh Max, Charlise that's great, now you can stay here!" Mom exclaims "Do they offer sports too? And are we aloud to take interest in other talents or arts?" Char asks "We don't offer many sports here but the kids play their own games during free time or on the weekends or after school. Follow me to the back yard area." Mrs. Colby says We follow her to the back area. "And yes if you want you can take other classes that offer music or other arts if you are interested." She says She opens a door revealing a big back yard area, along with a courtyard and a basket ball court. "This is wear the kids play games or just hang outside when they have time." Mrs. Colby explains "This looks really cool, I think Max and Charlise will have fun here." Ms. Paella says "Oh they will have a grand time." Ms. Colby says We follow her back inside and up the stairs to the dorms. "We have a bathroom for both the boys and girls, we have big closets for them to store their clothes and other things for the year." She says She opens one of the dorms, it has two sets of bunk beds, a dresser between and another door which must be the closet. It's kind of roomy. "This is what all the dorms look like and they can decorate the way the would like." Ms. Colby says "Looks nice." Dad says "I wanna go here!" Tilly exclaims "One day Tilly. Maybe one day." Harvey says "Is there any other questions?" Ms. Colby asks Everyone exchanges glances. "No I don't think so, Max? Charlise?" Mom asks "No." Char and I both say "Great, well I hope you enjoyed your tour and we can't wait to have you in the fall!" Ms. Colby exclaims "Thank you so much!" Mom says We walk back down the stairs and out the door. "Thank you again!" Ms. Paella calls We climb back into the car. "That was great. I think you kids are gonna like it." Mom says I nod. "Yeah it seems cool." I say "Yeah I think I'll have fun." Char says "That's great! How about we walk around London for the rest of the day? Check out the shops?" Dad suggests "That sound fun." Mom says "What do you kids think?" Dad asks "Yeah!!" Tilly cheers "Fine with me." Harvey says shrugging "Yeah that's fine." I say "Sure." Char says "Alright, into the city we go." Dad says I glance again at Char, she looks at me, we stare at each other until I look away. "Can we talk soon?" She whispers in my ear I look at her, she gives me a half smile. "Yeah." I say quietly ~ Guys this is a terrible chapter I'm sorry.
