Harvey's POV

I wake up the next morning, Laney's feet are up by my chest and my feet are by hers. I laugh and sit up. I stretch, I hurry upstairs making sure I don't wake anyone, so I can change and shower. I quietly open our bedroom door, but I soon stop. Max is sitting on his bed, his eyes red, tissues on the floor.
"Max?" I ask
He looks up me.
"Harvey.." he says wiping his eyes and nose
"Are you okay what's going on?" I ask coming closer to him
"It's nothing.." He says
"You miss her don't you?" I ask sitting down on the floor by his bed
He nods.
"I know I said I don't have feelings for her anymore, but it's coming back to me and now I miss her and I'm a mess." He says
"But Max when she left, you let her. You didn't chase after her, whatever that dream was about, it shouldn't matter, you would be there for her.." I say trailing off
"But I can't get her back because I already told her I didn't feel anything anymore, and she said it herself, it wasn't just because of her dream. There were other problems." He says
"But when you kissed Laney, you went straight to her house, you didn't wait around, you told her right away... what other problems were there?" I ask
"Who knows." Max says shrugging and blowing his nose
"Maybe you should talk to her.." I say
"I can't. It's already done, we're over." He says
"I have to shower, but Max, I really think you should tell her." I say and stand up
I pull some fresh clothes out and hop into the bathroom closing the door behind me.

I come out fresh and clean, I walk down stairs and Laney's sitting crossed legged on the couch.
"I thought you died." She says when she sees me
I give her a funny look and laugh.
"Nah, I went to shower." I say
She nods.
"I should probably get home and freshen up, I'll see you later." She says and gets up
I watch as she walks out the door, I jump onto the couch and click the tv on. Max comes trudging down the stairs.
"Hey." I say
"Hey." He says weakly
"Max." I say
"Harvey, I know, I get it, you don't need to tell me 10 million times." He snaps
"Sorry.." I say
"No...I'm sorry, I'm just cranky, I didn't really sleep last night." Max says sitting down on the couch next to me.
"Well maybe you should get some sleep." I say
"Yeah good idea." He says
"I'm gonna go out, you get some sleep, I'll be back later." I say
"Where are you going?" He asks
"Outside, probably to the park, I'll take Pippa with me." I say
"Alright have fun." Max says
I get up and he stretches out on the couch, I laugh.
"Pippa, come here girl." I call
She comes running from the hallway.
"Wanna go for a walk?" I say
She gets excited and starts jumping.
"Okay, lets go!" I exclaim
I grab her leash and hook it onto her collar, we hurry outside.
"Such a nice day, huh Pippa? No school, sunny, perfect." I say
She wags her tail excitedly. We walk down the road to the park. I see someone walking up the road and Pippa yanks at her leash, sending me forward, I lose grip and she runs ahead.
"Pippa!" I yell
I run after her.
"Oh Hey Harvey." Camille says holding onto Pippa's leash and petting her
"Hey Camille, I'm really sorry." I say
"No worries, she's cute." She says
"Thanks." I say
"I'm heading to the park, wanna join me?" I ask
"I was actually just coming back from the park.." she says
"Oh." I say
"Thanks though." She says and smiles
"Hey, listen, Max..he's kind of...a mess.." I say
"What do you mean?" She asks
"Max is upset you two aren't together. Is finally came back at him and he's upset now." I say
"Well I mean..it isn't my fault.." Camille trails off
"Camille, if it's that dream, you and Max can get through anything together. Whatever it is, you can get through it." I say
"I don't know.." Camille says
"Camille." I say
"Just..I have to go." She says and moves around me
I watch as she walks up the street she sigh. If only she knew..if only she could get over the dream..whatever it was...

We return home and Max is snoring away on the couch. I laugh and let Pippa off her leash, she runs upstairs. Tilly comes bouncing down the stairs.
"Shh." I whisper to her
She looks over and sees Max on the couch and nods. She comes over to me.
"I wanna see Laney." Tilly whispers
"You do?" I ask kind of surprised
"I didn't even get to see her last night.." she whines
"Alright, I guess we can go." I say
I pull out my phone out and text Laney.

Me: Tilly wants to come and see you, is that okay?
Laney: of course! 😂 just come in
Me: okay thanks

I put my phone back in my pocket and we slip out the door. We walk up the street this time to Laney's.
"What are you gonna do with Laney?" I ask Tilly
"That's private girl business." She says sternly
"Well okay then." I say
We turn the corner and cross the road to Laney's house. I open the door.
"Hello?" I call
"Come in." Laney calls
I close the door, and take our shoes off. Laney appears from the living room.
"Hey Tilly." She says and smiles
"Laney!" Tilly cheers
She runs into Laney's arms, Laney lifts her up.
"What are you doing here?" Laney asks
"I wanna talk." Tilly says
"Oh?" Laney asks looking at me
I shrug.
"She wouldn't tell me, secret girl business." I say and shrug
We walk into the living room and Laney sets Tilly down in one of the chairs.
"So, what's up?" Laney asks
"Harvey plug your ears!" Tilly demands
I cover my ears and turn around. I look at all of the pictures hung up the walls. Some make me smile.
"Okay, you can turn back around." I hear Tilly say
I turn around and uncover my ears.
"Tilly why don't you go outside, we'll be out in a minute." Laney says
"Okay." Tilly says and runs outside to the backyard
"What did she say?" I ask
"Apparently she had her fist kiss the other day during pre-school." Laney says
"Oh really?" I say
"Yep, and she didn't wanna tell you or Max cause you would be mad." She says
I nod.
"Well I'm not mad." I say and laugh
Laney laughs too.
"Lets go." She says and we walk out to the backyard
