Damn it. I had wasted my shot. How? Because I was being attacked by a fellow junkyard civilian and it was the only way I could protect myself.
So now I was pretty much defenceless, relying on using my hands as weapons, which was pretty pointless with guns and blades flying around.
Punching someone's jaw did I curse under my breath when I felt my knuckles crack. That just made my life a whole lot easier. Wonderful.
Noticing a blade tucked in another's combat boot did I make sure they were completely distracted before I very quickly pulled it out of their boot.
Using the blade to plunge it into an upcoming trash persons chest did I breath heavily as I yanked it out. Never did I think I would be fighting on the side of the saviours. But you do what you gotta do to save your own and protect what's yours.
As I jogged through the community, looking for the son of a butch who killed Avery did I see him by a pile of rubbish, laying down on the floor like a damn starfish. This was too easy.
Aiming my blade at the panting mans own throat did I see the fear in his eyes as he looked up at me.
"Why did you do it?" I growled. "Why?"
"I'm sorry."
I scrunched my brows at his words, this wasn't a reason, which made me think perhaps he was actually innocent. For Avery was shot at least 3 times, it was no accident. Thus he wouldn't be sorry.
Lowering my blade did i pull up both his sleeves to see the man had no fucking hands. Well then, he couldn't have shot Avery with no hands unless the guy had superpowers which I doubted. Although I never thought there would be an apocalypse, so anything was possible.
"Who are you covering for?" I hissed. "Who?"
"I'm sorry!"
"Just tell me who you were covering for!"
"Me."
Pricking my ears up at the unfamiliar voice did did I feel the knife knocked out of my hand as I turned around to see an unknown man with a man bun. His face sweaty, his lips dry and his eyes dark. I didn't know who he was, never seen him before in my life, but he didn't seem friendly.
"Why? What did she do to you?" I asked.
"She was an old friend of mine. She had to go."
"What do you-"
"Don't you recognise me? I'm from terminus."
My jaw involuntarily dropped as I watched the man, I thought no one survived terminus. Hell I didn't even think the walkers made it out.
"You and your people destroyed my family, my home. She had it coming and so do you."
If Negan hadn't of pushed me out of the way in time that man would have sent his blade plunging into my stomach, if he had his way he would have killed both me and my baby. I mean how sick can you get?
Taking a moment to pull myself together while I panted did I just stare up above as Negan rolled of me. Never thought I'd be saved by the monster.
Grabbing a hold of his leather glove did he pull me up of the ground as the person who had killed Avery scurried of. Wise choice.
"You good?"
"I'm good." I huffed. "Thank you."
