//Ophelia's POV//
It honestly seemed like I was in and out of consciousness as the minutes passed.
My head was throbbing and I was struggling to keep my eyes open but I was much more sober thanks to Aaron's spaghetti and water.
I was currently rubbing my forehead whilst sitting at the table opposite Eric whilst Aaron and Daryl were looking at some motorbike that needed fixing.
I would have had a look to if it wasn't for my pre morning hang over.
"I wouldn't worry."
"Excuse me?" I asked looking up and forcing my eyes open to see Eric.
"Deanna will come around. She's just...adapting to your behaviour."
"What do you mean my behaviour?"
"Well your more distant and...threatening than anyone we've come across before."
Gulping nervously Eric quickly spoke once more.
"I mean that's not a bad thing! Not after what you've been through. It's good to be protecting of your family. I hope one day you'll be protective over everyone here at Alexandria."
I didn't realise how scary I must look. I mean I suppose when your face is a deep shade of red, your make up smudged, your hair covering most of your face, a sharp knife in your hand and a death stare that kills, your not gonna look welcoming.
"Nice save." I nodded putting down the knife and fork.
As awkward silence filled the air and I sighed.
"One day I'll be comfortable here and I'll come to like everyone here...just not right now."
"I completely understand."
Leaning back against my chair I guessed about 10 minutes had passed before Aaron and Daryl came walking back in, mid conversation.
Rubbing my eyes I tried to pull myself together so I could understand their conversation.
"And the thing is your going to need a bike."
"Why?" Daryl asked Aaron who quietly shut the kitchen door behind him.
"I told Deanna not to give you a job because I think I have one for you."
Furrowing his brows Daryl moved himself so he was standing behind me and wrapped his arms loosely around my neck as I stayed seated.
"I'd like you to be Alexandria's other recruiter. I don't want Eric risking his life anymore."
"Oh but you want Daryl risking his?" I growled tensing in my seat.
"He knows what he's doing." Aaron sighed.
"My brother knew what he was doing. He still died. Shit happens."
"I know-"
"No. You don't know shit."
Standing up from my chair I removed myself from Daryl's arms and stormed towards the door.
"Ophelia wai' up. Hear em ou'."
"Are you actually considering this?" I asked Daryl scrunching my face.
