Holy shit.

There was a damn tiger. But I wasn't complaining.

Widening my eyes did I see King Ezekiel, Carol and members of the Kingdom come charging into Alexandria fighting our corner, and my lips stretched into a huge smile to see we weren't fighting this on our own now.

Carol was back.

Turning to my left did my jaw drop to see Maggie, Jesus, Enid and other hilltop members  shooting their guns at the saviours and junkyard too, I honestly felt like I was going to cry, we were all together again. And ready for this war. We weren't gonna lose.

Extending his arm out as Daryl stood up did I gracefully take my hand in his as he pulled me up and handed me a hand gun, knowing the kick back of the rifle was beginning to hurt like a bitch.

"Ready?"

"Ready." I nodded.

Jogging over towards any saviours we could see did we both hold each other's hand, and together we shot any one who had crossed us with our spare hands holding the guns.

We moved through out the town, pulling the trigger at any sign of a saviour. We were not taking any chances. Not now we had a real chance of winning.

I had to look twice to make sure I wasn't seeing things as I saw Morgan had killed a man, a real human. Wow. He'd snapped out of that whole "life is precious," stage.

Nodding his way did he return the gesture before I squeezed Daryl's hand the saviours became more and more disorganised.

Smoke filled the air, the thick, grey hovering cloud of smoke tickling my throat as I aimed my gun ahead of me. The way our group were reunited again and fighting as one still made me smile mentally as I felt we had a real chance of winning.

I could see Negan and Simon shooting rifles as they ducked behind a car, the moment we made eye contact I swallowed harshly. I had made myself a big target for the saviours but it was worth it.

Negan's face remained neutral as we locked our eyes on to each other, a part of me did still feel bad because he saved my life, and he knew that. And if he ever caught me, he would play on that thought and twist it. Which is why I could never let that happen.

But this war was far from over, I knew very well I would be seeing him again, and so did he. And I honestly don't know what will happen in our next encounter, because our last exchange wasn't what I expected at all.

He gave me one last look, as if to say I'll be seeing you again, which I knew was correct, I would be seeing him again, I just didn't know where or when. So lost in my thoughts I hadn't realised a saviour had aimed a gun at me, with their finger above the trigger was Daryl quick to cover my ass and shoot the bastard down.

"Thank you." I breathed heavily. To think I was 2 seconds away from being shot just now made me shiver.

Simply nodding his head did he take a look around to see the smoke had grown thicker, and the gunshots louder. Before he could think twice did he grasp my hand tighter and begin to lead me towards a car that looked pretty shiny In the small sunlight there was.

"Daryl what are you-"

"Come on."

Jumping onto the top of the car did he lift me up so that i was stood beside him on the top of the vehicle. There was a pretty good view, I could see a lot of saviours begin to climb into their trucks so they could run of, hell I could see Negan holding his middle finger up as his small black truck bolted out of Alexandria.

But still like many others did me and Daryl continue to shoot any enemies we saw as we stood back to back and looked down at them from the top of the car, and it wasn't until he ran out of bullets that we stopped shooting.

Placing my hands on my knees did I begin to breathe deeply as Daryl placed his hands on his hips and regained his breathe. I thought we had done pretty good if I do say so myself.

Pushing myself to my full height did I smirk as I saw Daryl open up his arms, we hadn't had a proper reunion yet so I think now would be a sufficient time.

Practically colliding against him did I straight away wrap my arms around his neck and stand on my tippy toes so that he could easily crash his soft lips against mine.

I smiled into each kiss, him wrapping his arms around my waist, so that his hands were behind my back as he pulled me closer, but careful not to hit my small bump.

"I'm gonna tie ye to tha' damn bed Ophelia." He smirked. "We had a deal."

Biting down on my lips did a small sigh escape my lips. I suppose I deserved that, I was gone for a few days after all with no word of my departure.

Shooting one last saviour that was jumping in their car did I realise now my gun was empty. Shrugging did I throw the gun to the ground, it making a fairly loud sound as it landed on the gravel below the car. Daryl copying my actions was nowable to grip my waist properly as he grinned.

"I suppose I deserve that." I agreed.

"Ye think?"

Shaking my head did I press my lips against his one last time, not wanting this moment to end did he place his arm under my knees so that he could left me up bridal style as he carried me onto the ground.

"Ye got some explain' to do later."

"I know." I smiled. "Later."

Playfully rolling his eyes did we walk over towards where everyone was gathered as we intertwined our fingers. Rick, Maggie and Ezekiel on a stage as they gave a speech.

But the only thing I was focusing on was the fact I was back home.
