BRADIES P.O.V.

“Hey Andy, where did May go?” I asked Andy.

“She went to pick up her anorexic niece in Perth, apparently she has gotten bad so that May offered to help,” he replied.

May, she was always helping people in time of need, but she flew all the way to Perth just to collect her niece without telling me? She always told me first, why did she tell Andy and not me?

“When did she leave?” I questioned.

“Last night,” he replied simply.

Just then I saw Mays Silver Subaru pull up in her driveway,

“She’s home,” I called to Andy who was raiding the fridge yet again.

I unlocked the front door and jumped the small fence to where it divided Mays and our house. May let us come over anytime, she even gave us our own key. She said we could come in and invite anybody over as long as we didn’t trash the place and clean up after our mess.

“May!” I shouted as she got out.

“Bradie,” She called back in her cheerful voice.

“Do you need a hand at all?” I asked automatically.

“Actually yes I do, you’re a champ!” she pointed to the suitcases and boxes, I carried them inside, I put May’s suitcase in her neat room which was up the stairs then came out for the other stuff.

“Bradie, I want you to meet Danni,” she introduced this pale looking frail girl with the greenest eyes I had ever seen. Andy was not kidding when he said anorexic. I shook her hand and carried her things into the spare room.

“So Bradie, what’s the goss?” she asked when I saw May in the kitchen,

“Well apart the fact you had me worried that I didn’t see you all day and I thought you had killed yourself, it was pretty good!” I replied.

“Bradie, you’re such a character. No I told Andy to tell you that I would be back today, but let me guess he didn’t did he?”

“Nope, he just told me then, the slacker!”

The new girl Danni appeared at the bottom of the stairs. Her face a little red and her eyes stating to sprout water works.

“Danni, you ok love?” asked May.

“No,” she answered flatly.

“Come here and let’s talk,” she said politely.

Danni stopped where I was and looked at me in a strange way. I heard the door open and I knew we were in trouble; Andy came in dragging his feet along the ground so that everybody could hear.

“May!” he called.

“Andy, why didn’t you tell Bradie where I was?” asked May.

“I did!” he slammed back.

“Yeah just then!” I put my two cents in.
