DANNI P.O.V.

I waited in the office and then Bradie came down and sat on the opposite side. Through the window I saw Shaun having a massive grin. Then a sign that said ask him why he’s in there? Shaun jiggled his eyes brows.

“Bradie,” I said, he looked at me with innocent eyes. School hadn’t even started and he was already in the office.

“What did you do?” I asked.

He looked at me and then at May who put her magazine down and said.

“I shoved that note down Shaun’s shirt and the teacher caught me and told me to get my arse to the office,” he said blandly. That’s when the principal came out of his office and looked at Bradie and looked at us. He turned to us and said,

“I won’t be a minute,” Then he turned to Bradie, “Mr Webb, I would like a chat,”

Bradie got off his chair and went into the principals office, I really felt sorry for him, next time I saw Shaun, I swear I was going to get him. I heard Bradie and the principal talking and then he got let out, he had a note in his hand.

“Bye Bradie!” I said and then the principal looked at me. Bradie just walked off, probably a little ashamed.

“Ah May,” he said, “And this must be the lovely Danni,” I shook his hand and so did May. I sat down that must have been the chair that Bradie sat down on because it was warm and plus I could smell Bradie’s deodorant. May waited outside.

“So just to clear things up, my name is Mr Kemp, I am the principal here and I hear that you’ve come from Perth?” he asked.

“I have,” I said a little nervous.

“And you have come here to be with May due to an eating disorder?” He asked.

“Yes, my therapist in Perth said that being in a new environment with people who are not family should help to overcome it,” I spoke quite naturally.

“Ah yes, So you know Mr Webb?” he asked.

“Yes, he lives next door to me, he has been really supportive ever since I have been here.” I said.

Mr Kemp looked at the paperwork that I had that the front office ladies that had given to him. He flicked through a few things and found a report that Mum had faxed May.

“Well Danni, I think that it would be an honour to have you in my school and that I think that you can achieve greatness if you put your mind to it. You just remind me so much of May,”

I didn’t know if that was a complement or not. After the interview was over I had to go for a uniform fitting.
