DANNI P.O.V

Shaun and Andy guzzled their food down; I took careful bites at a time. I was the last one to finish and I felt really bloated, I had never eaten so much at a time. It was silent while everybody was eating, not even Shaun said something. Andy’s last bite fell down his shirt, of course Shaun was the first one to notice.

“How long have you been eating?”

“Take a look at yourself!  Why don’t you take a look in the mirror because it seems like you are saving that bit for later!”

Shaun rushed off to the bathroom to check his face. Bradie cleared off his plate and the others. I helped May with the dishes while the boys sat on the couch, except Bradie. He dried the dishes and put them away while I washed. I felt my stomach start to heave, like I was going to chuck up the food. May saw my face and ran quicker than I did to the toilet, She held the door while I tried to hold it in. If she didn’t move I was going chuck all over her.

“Danni, no! This is all a mind game, you are not going to chuck up!”

“May, I am going to!”

“Danni, concentrate on my voice, listen,” I looked up to her, “You are strong, you are going to walk back to that kitchen, you are going to sit down. I’m going to give you a piece of paper and a pen and I want to write, my will is stronger than my mind, ok?”

I felt really dizzy and I felt myself falling from side to side, I managed to sit down at the table and hold in the food. Everybody turned in my direction. May gave me a glass of water and a pen and a piece of paper.

I started to write my will is stronger than my mind.  All over the page. I felt the need to vomit slowly start to fade away as I wrote more and more. It kept my mind off vomiting.  I kept writing all over the other words and I stopped. My hand was numb and everybody was standing behind me. I was so mesmerised in writing that I didn’t notice. I started to laugh, I had never had to overcome that before, and before I knew it I had tears streaming down my face. It was a beautiful feeling, I had actually overcome vomiting. I got off the chair and hugged May. She really was a hero. I couldn’t stop the tears from streaming, I hugged Bradie and Andy and Shaun. I was so happy.

“Darling, if you ever feel the need to vomit, I want that pen and paper out.  Keep repeating my will is stronger than my mind.”

“I will,”

After about ten tissues later, I finally stopped crying. Shaun and Andy left because they had to go somewhere and there was just Bradie and May sitting either side of me on the couch. Still being really supportive.

“So Danni, did you want to come to my house?” asked Bradie.

“Sure,” I said very positively.

We left May in her office sorting out her bills and calling clients for her work tomorrow, she also enrolled me into the same school as the boys so I knew some people there. I followed Bradie out the door and he jumped over the fence like he did yesterday and I walked around. Bradie looked around to see where I had gone, I walked up the driveway of his house and waited at the front door.
