DANNI P.O.V

I laid on the grass feeling like a failure, I just couldn’t do it. It haunted me to sing in front of people.  I mean I could sing in front of Andy, Bradie and Shaun because I felt comfortable around them but with people making eye contact with me while I sang, it gave me chills and butterflies would come into my stomach. Bradie came over and propped me up against him, I cried in his tank top.

“I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry,” I kept muttering.

Bradie patted my back and I knew what was going on. He was comforting me now. I felt so much better and then I felt weak again, my stomach started to grumble, it never grumbled before. This was a new sensation. I started to laugh, Bradie looked down at me.

“You ok?” he asked sweetly.

I sighed.

“Yeah. No, not really,”   I said.

“You wanna talk about it?” he asked.

I looked deep into his chocolate brown eyes. I smiled, sniffing up the last of my tears.

“Are you always this supportive?” I asked.

He swayed his head around, a little lost for words.

“But, I stuffed everything up for you. I just lost it for you, I’m sorry Bradie, I tried. But when people stare at me when I do something, it makes me jumpy.” I admitted.

Bradie got up and helped me up, the sun was set and it was starting to get dark. He walked me back to Mays house and went back to his house.

“Bradie,” I shouted.

His head popped out of the door and turned and looked at me.

“Goodnight,” He smiled and replied simply “goodnight,”

I watched him go inside and I went inside, it was starting to get cold so I put on my jumper, through my window I could see Bradie’s room. He was on his bed, on his laptop typing away. I sat on the window sill and watched for a while. That’s when May came in and called me for dinner. For dinner we had apricot chicken. It was delicious.

“May,” I asked. May looked up.

“Is Bradie, I mean does Bradie, oh forget it,” I got up and scraped my scraps off into the bin.

“What is it darling?” asked May curious.

“Well, is Bradie always like that, I mean he is like the nicest guy I know and well I don’t think people notice,” I said, struggling for words.

May put her hands on the kitchen table and turned and faced me.

“Bradie, he is one of a kind. But I do notice, he is always offering a hand, I think he has taken a fancy to you though,” May went on, “No, Bradie, he is the peacemaker between Andy and Shaun. Trust me, when I have a bad day Bradie is the first to tell. He is very observant,”

I bit my lip and did the dishes. Then I went and watched Bradie in his room
