Chapter 31~ Ball Dates

DANNI P.O.V.

I liked it how I got most of the morning with Bradie to myself, we talked about many different things. I was good until my parents came and Bradie was on the bed, I got a little embarrassed that Bradie skipped school again to see me because I thought that my parents won’t approve instead they warmed up to him.

“Danni, um we want to tell you something,” Said Mum.

“Your mother and I have decided that we are going to move here.” Chimed in Dad.

“This morning we bought the house next to May’s on the left side.” Mum went at it.

“So we are leaving tomorrow to pack up the house in Perth and move our things over here,”

I was stoked, I loved Budgewoi! And we were living next to May! It was the most amazing thing that could have happened. Although I was a little sad that I didn’t get to say goodbye to Nick but he wouldn’t have minded. He was the loner type. The rest of the afternoon went by and Bradie had to leave to pick up Shaun and Andy. I was left with Mum, Dad and May. Who was discussing jobs and what not. Over the next few weeks, Bradie visited me during his lunch breaks. Then he would come back after his school and do his homework with me and then go home. Finally I was allowed out of hospital and was on home probation for two more weeks. Andy, Shaun and Bradie would amuse me for hours on end. They finally got a gig at the school, I did their hair and make up for them, I was allowed to go. Bradie insisted that I come backstage, but I wanted to be apart of the crowd. Weeks went by and it was coming up to the time of the ball. I had a special dress made up that covered my scar. Shaun and Andy were dateless which was really surprising. A lot of girls were swooning over them at school and they never really took any notice! Bradie drove me there and he helped me out of the car like a true gentlemen. Andy and Shaun got out of the back and straightened up each others ties pretending to be goofs! The boys were performing tonight as well, they were going to play princess which was I requested. Lately I had been stacking on the weight and felt that a dance was what I needed. I dragged Bradie onto the dancefloor and made him dance with me. Andy came over and requested a dance with me. I laughed. Andy was showing off a bit, he pulled me closer that what Bradie did and whispered in my ear.

“You look beautiful,”

I looked down at my satin dress, it was a sky blue, I curled my hair and I had bobby pins everywhere. May insisted to do my hair and makeup, she had done a pretty amazing job. Shaun asked for dance and Andy let me go. Shaun was the worst dancer out of the boys but I liked the distraction. He dragged me to where everybody was getting their photo’s done. Bradie and Andy were in the line and we joined them.

“Group photo!” Cried Andy being a big girl.

There was the three boys behind me and then me in the middle of all three, then I had an individual photo with all three. One with Andy, one with Shaun and a few with Bradie. Then I made the boys have a photo with just three of them. Then I realised what was going on. I was all three of their dates! All three of them wore a blue rose that was the same colour as my dress on their tuxes. It was really cute. I couldn’t help but really smile that they all loved me.
