Micheal's POV

When Becky left me, I was hard and it was so difficult to calm down.
I decided to rest in the water for some more time.

Then dressed in house clothes and went down to fill my empty stomach.
I had to skip my lunch for an urgent meeting with Mr Sanders.
If I had the right, I would banish him from entering my company's premises.

Every time we meet and discuss the same old issue.
And I am like Why Don't You Move On?
There was nothing I could do to help him out.1

It wasn't an important thing at all. Not for me.

I found Becky sitting on the dinning.
We had a family meal and then took Mini to bed.

It was nearly 10 when we were done with everything.
Then, both of us laid on the bed, exhausted as hell.

I wrapped my arm around her waist and dug my face into her neck before falling asleep.

The next day was a havoc.

The alarm didn't go and then we had a thousand things to do in a limited time.

Though I could have gone to office at any time of the day but I had to drop Mini at school and in addition to that, I also had a meeting with Sam William.

And since he was a good friend of mine, I don't like to cancel or postpone the meeting because he too was a busy guy.

It was 10 and I was finally at my desk.

Becky couldn't come to office in the morning as she had some chores to run and one of them, she counted as the changing of the front door handle.

As far as I know, she didn't care about such things, those were done by the servants.

But this time, she had a damn emergency to get it changed.

Anyways, so half an hour was left for the meeting when my new secretary showed up.

I saw her walking towards my cabin.

Oh My God! What was her name?

Calm down Micheal, she won't eat you for forgetting her name. Play it cool.

"Morning sir" she smiled and entered.

"Morning...morning. By the way what is your full name?" I asked.
Well played Mike.

"Cassie Walter" she said.

"Oh! Cassie. I will get you an official letter from Rick. Just make sure that I don't forget about that." I said.

"Okay" she and moved an inch to her table.

"Alright. Now listen to me very carefully" I said.

She nodded.

"Sit down, first"

She moved to the chair near her desk and sat down.

"Becky could not come right now, but she will be here in the evening to talk about my planned schedule, until then I'll give you a rough outline."
I paused, took a breath and said.

"On this computer, you keep on checking the company's mail. And then if someone asks for an appointment, you check my schedule and give the time accordingly. Make sure that there are no clashes. And secondly, people may also call the office, so you must tell them that I will get back to them, later. Here is your diary where you write down the name of the person and the time. And yes I don't like voice mails. Which means you cannot miss a single call. I am chaining you to this desk. Just make sure that whenever you take a break, Rick is on duty. Do you understand?" I asked.

"Yes sir. And what about today's schedule?" she asked.

"Umm... it isn't planned yet. I have a meeting with Mr William which may last an hour or so. If someone calls now, give them the time '12 o clock'. Make sure I get a half an hour break between two meetings. 1:30 is my lunch time, it goes on for half an hour. And as soon I get out of that meeting room, you will have to keep me reminding the time and the purpose of the next meeting." I said.

"Am I going to be at this meeting?" she asked.

"No you will be there for the other meetings, but not this one. See, Sam William is a good friend of mine so I handle things lightly with him." I finished and glanced at the watch.

10:20

"Alright. I hope you got it all right" I said.

"Yeah!" she said.

"Cool then I take your leave" I went to my table, picked up a couple of files and went out of the room.

I saw that Sam was already in the room.

"Hey Sam" I said and entered.

On seeing me, he stood up and we shared a friendly hug.

Then for an hour, we discussed a few things about the contract and then he left.

When I walked out of the room, I didn't see Cassie.

So, I decided not to be THE HORRIBLE BOSS and go and ask her myself.

When I went to my cabin. She was in a phone call.

The receiver was stuck between her head and the shoulder and she was scribbling something in the diary.

On seeing me, she hung up the phone.

"Boss. Your today's schedule is full. I mean I am giving time for tomorrow" she said.

"You should not have done that" I said.

"Done what?"

"Giving time for tomorrow. Always make appointments for today only." I said.

"Sorry boss, I'll cancel it."

"Leave it. And by the way call me Micheal" I said.

"Okay Boss" she said.

I raised my eyebrows.

"Fine, Micheal" she hesitantly spoke my name.

The day went smooth, Cassie has done her work really well.
Becky would be here by 6.

Narrator's POV

Cassie's day was going perfect but she had a different kind of job.

She was aware that Becky was going to come to office, but didn't know the time.

When Micheal was away for a lunch break, she dialled on her mobile.

"Hello Boss" she said and updated Derek with all the happenings.

"Is there a time for my visit?" he asked.

"Umm..." Cassie checked the schedule. Yeah it is 5:30" she said.
She lied to Micheal, back then.

"Alright. Write my name for an appointment and do not inform him in advance that I am coming." he said in a serious voice.

"Okay sir." she said and wrote it on the diary.

Then the line died.

Derek was busy making plans and Cassie looked forward for her own lunch.

Well! this game was going to end well.

She smiled and opened her box of salad.
