It was 7 in the evening and I was running around the house. I couldn't find my diamond earrings.
I had to wear them. They matched with my ball gown.
Micheal was looking for them too.
"Got it" he said as he emerged from the closet.
"Good, I was so worried." I said as I took and wore the earrings.
"We are late, Beck." He said as he put on his tuxedo.
"I know honey, just a sec" I said and did some final touches to my make up.
I was wearing a red gown with silver heels.
We took our masks and left the house.
Anna was staying to look after the kids.
It was 8 when we reached the Williams mansion and we were very late. The ball began at 7:30.
We could see people all around the house.
Lula sure knew how to throw a party.
We put on our masks. Mike gave me his hand and we got out of the car.
Paparazzi began clicking pictures as we made our way to the entrance.
Before going in, we turned and waved at the camera.
As we walked in, we were served a with a glass of champagne.
My eyes gazed around in search of Lula. I couldn't find her anywhere.
It was so difficult to recognize people when everyone was wearing masks.
Mike tightened his grip on my waist and pulled me closer.
I looked at him and smiled.
He left a tiny peck on my lips.
Soothing music played in the hall and people walked all around chatting and enjoying the evening.
The music stopped and everyone looked amused.
"Good evening everyone" said Sam. He and Lula stood on the top of the huge staircase that was at the end of the hall.
"Thank you all for coming. Today, we have an announcement to make" she said and looked at Sam.
"We are pregnant."
Everybody started clapping.
"Thank you again for you love." Said Sam.
Then they came downstairs and the music played again.
Sam grabbed Lula and they started dancing.
Couples joined them and soon half of the people were dancing on the floor.
"May I have this dance?" Micheal asked me.
I gave him my hand and we started dancing.
We danced for about ten minutes then someone called "Hey Micheal, haven't seen you since ages."
We looked around to find a group of three guys calling Micheal.
They were his business friends.
"I will be back honey" he said leaving me on the dance floor.
I smiled and saw him walk towards the group.
I never invaded in their conversation. Just like Mike doesn't come around when Lula and I are talking.
I stood there and looked around.
A middle aged man came to me and asked me for the dance, I agreed.
I recognised him. We have met at a couple of events. His name was Ethan Quint.
After about 5 minutes, the partners changed.
A strong handsome man grabbed my hand.
He placed his left hand on my waist and pulled me closer.
My face was inches away from his lips.
I looked at his eyes but couldn't figure out who he was.
He said nothing and kept dancing.
"Who are you?" I smiled and asked.
He then stopped dancing and pulled me to a nearby room.
He shoved me in and locked the door.
I turned and looked at him.
"What are you doing? Who are you?" I asked again.
"Why don't you find out yourself?" he said and removed his mask.
I stared in horror.
