"Did you get the camera from one of the crew members?"
"I would if you would just tell me how to get out of this garden maze. I keep going down dead ends. Why did you want to film here, anyways? I know it looks nice and all, but is it really necessary?"
"We haven't been filming as much as we had to be. Others have around ten videos on their page on the show's website already. We just have one," he held up his index finger close to my face, it was inches away. He was freaking out.
"Calibur," I put emphasis in his name to get his attention. I grabbed him by the shoulders so he could stop jittering. "Stop worrying so much."
"How could you tell me to not worry," he looked pissed off now. Moving out of my grasp. "You should be the one angry at me, telling me off for making your chances of winning this competition slim to zero, at least with my help."
He sighed, shaking his head. He walked farther away, his head in his hands. "The purpose of having the videos and making them is to grow some fans. People who would give you the vote when the time comes because the judges don't have the ability to vote you in. Well, it's not like they did in the first place, but you get my point. You need people."
"I know," I sighed after a prolonged period of silence. "But it's not your fault. I should have been keeping track of everything. But you got to understand. I'm an amateur. The other people in this competition have experience in singing," I flung my arm in the direction of the house. "For example, Cyan. He took singing lessons when he was a kid. It might have been a while, but it's still some sort of experience."
The expression on his face became darker and more annoyed.
"Cyan," his laugh sounding unamused. "Why do you always got to bring him up?"
I looked at him confused at his outburst.
"He's my friend-"
"Ha, friend? Really Ever? You must think I'm an idiot to pull that one on me."
"What are you talking about Calibur? And why are yelling at me," I rose my voice to his level.
"I'm not yelling! I'm just point out what I think you think of me, an idiot!"
His breathe came out jagged. I looked up at him, fire burning within me. My eyes burning holes in his face.
The glare in his eyes weren't any better. They sizzled with unspoken words. He wanted to say more. Grill me out, but couldn't seem to get the words together to form a proper sentence. Just words jumbled in his mind, as the pure annoyance in his eyes told me half of what he thought.
"Say it," I seethed out.
We were inches away from our faces coming in contact with each other. Our eyes glaring at our opposite opponent.
"You want me to say it? I'll say it." He looked determined to finish this all off with his next words. "I f-"
He didn't finish his sentence. Instead he came on to me. As in, fell forward. Our heads bumped into each other's. He pushed me with his body, causing us to crash to the floor. His body on top of mine.
"What the heck is wrong with you," I shouted, pushing his shoulders so he could get off of me.
"It wasn't me," he looked frantically around.
"What are you looking for?" I stopped pushing but left my hands where they were.
"I don't know but it felt soft and had claws. It jabbed me in the leg."
"Good for you. Now get off of me. I got things to do." I tried to roll out from under him. Succeeding, however after was met with brown fur walking towards me.
"But we still need to make a video diary. What else do you have to do other than choose a song, which I have to be there for."
"I think I found your attacker."
"What?" He looked up, where I was looking at.
"And what do you mean what else? I have to get ready for the premier all the contestants have to attend tonight."
"That's been cancelled," he did a pushup to bounce back on his feet. "Now where did this little monster come from?" He cooed.
"Doesn't he look a lot like the ice cream Rocky Road or am I just craving ice cream? And in other words, why didn't you tell me this sooner. I would have been able to sleep last night and not tossed and turned so much."
Cal picked up the dog from the grassy ground. The dog waggled it's tail back and forth, while Cal looked for a tag.
"Did you find the tag," I asked as I scratched the dog's head.
"No, it might have came from over there though. I don't believe it's someone from the house." He pointed, while having the dog in his arms, at the bush before us.
"What's over there?" I kept a hand on the dog.
"A neighborhood. It might have ran away."
"What is it," I asked.
"What do you mean 'what is it'? It's dog." He gave me a look that he thinks I'm crazy.
"I was asking if it's a boy or girl. Stupid." I mumbled the last part.
"You stupid," he mumbled back. "And for your information, it's a boy."
"Awesome! So his name is Rocky now, then," he barked at the name. "You like it don't you boy," I cooed.
"Why did you get to name him? His name should be Cali." He smiled at Rocky.
"He's a boy, Cal. Not a girl. Why would you name a dog after yourself anyways? Leave it as Rocky. He likes it."
"No he doesn't."
"He barked and wiggled his tail. I believe that means ok in dog language."
Cal tried to glare me down. I squinted, annoyed by him.
"I'm done. I'm going to go now. I don't care that I don't know where the exit is. I rather go struggle as I try to find my way out than be here with you." I huffed, annoyed.
"I didn't ask, so I don't care," he called out.
"Butthole," I shouted.
"Witch," he back called.
I gasped.
"No you did not just say that!" I turned around to look at him.
"Keep that in your head sweetie because it is true." He smirked.
"Forget you," I growled out.
"I already did." He laughed, walking the opposite way.
I waited a bit before I followed him out. It's true. Oh no, not what he said a second ago. It's true that I don't know my way out, so might as well follow him out, right? I don't want to be stuck in here forever.
