"...To be with myself and center
Clarity, peace, serenity
I hope you know-"
"Everly, stop...for a moment, please," Cal signaled to cut off my singing. "For the 'I hope you know...' part, I want you to go a bit higher." He suggested.
"I hope you know, I hope you know." I sang in a higher pitch. I paused to see his reaction. "Was that good or should I go a bit more higher?"
"No that should be fine for now. Continue with the rest of the verse."
I nodded my head causing my brownish blonde hair to fall in my face. I shook them out of my eyes and continued with the song.
"I hope you know, I hope you know
That this has nothing to do with you
It's personal, myself and I
We've got some straightenin' out to do
And I'm gonna miss you like a child misses their blanket
But I've got to get a move on with my life
It's time to be a big girl now
And big girls don't cry
Don't cry
Don't cry
Don't cry."
"Wait," Cal stood up from his seat that was a few feet away from where I stood.
"Sorry, I wasn't so sure how to sing this part. Am I supposed to go more quiet or..."
"No, I know how some songs can be difficult to sing but for this song when the 'big girls don't cry' part comes up, I don't want you trying to whisper because that's not going to work. Just lower your voice a bit but not so much. Just enough that it sounds delicate."
My eyebrows scrunched up together. "Delicate?"
"Never mind," he shook his head. Let's just get you going. We'll continue more tomorrow," he looked down at his watch. "But for now, go get changed because you have to be at the mall in a couple of minutes." He got up from his seat. "Good luck." He smiled as he pushed me towards the door to exit.
"What?! No! Come with me Calibur, please? Come on," I begged him, pushing back with my back so he wouldn't move me and get me out the door.
I turned around to look at him, dead in the eyes. "You have to come with me," I said through clenched teeth, grabbing the collar of his shirt, bringing him closer to me.
"Wow, girl. Chill," he tried to push my hands away from gripping the front of his shirt.
"Not until you agree." I didn't back down even though I had to stand on my tip toes and look up at him.
"Fine, but Ty has to come with me, which I think he's about to leave in five minutes to do some errands."
I loosen my grip on Cal and rushed out the door to locate Ty and drag him with me to the mall with me or Cal won't come.
Once I found Ty, I did the same to him as I did to Cal earlier. I grabbed the front of his shirt, shook him a bit, and forced him to come with me. It was harder to intimidate him since I had to look all the way up at him while telling him all this since he was a couple inches taller than Cal, but I think I got to him.
I either got to him or he just didn't want to go do his errands because it didn't even take him a minute to say yes.
Gosh I'm good at this!
