"Knock, knock. Rise and shine princess." Someone shouted as they came in my room while slamming my door in the process, just to rile me up for sure.
"Ugh," I groaned into my pillow as I threw my bear in the direction the voice was coming from. "Leave me alone."
"Sorry. Can't do that. Do you want to know why?" The voice continued to bother me.
I sat up on my bed, with half closed eyes, to look directly at Calibur who stood in the archway between my tiny living room and my bedroom, where I currently was which only consisted of my bed.
"No. I do not want to know why, Cal. Now leave." I shot him a glare as I fell back in bed while getting another one of my bears and aimed, from the corner of my eye, at his head. It hit him perfectly in the middle of his face since he was sitting on my bed making my aim fifty percent better than if he were standing a few steps away from me. Yes, I had that bad of an aim. He had to be super close for me to aim perfectly.
"Of course you want to know," he said as he gave me a fake smile.
"No I don't. Go away Cal," I paused as something brilliant popped in my head. "Cal?" I repeated his name.
"What?"
"Cal-ifornia girls, we're unforgettable," I said in a sleepy voice, saying Cal's name first normally before I broke out into a song. "Daisy dukes, bikinis on top."
Calibur laughed.
"Sun-kissed skin..." I dosed off without finishing the rest of the song.
"Everly," Calibur whined. "Get up. The competition begins today."
That got me to shoot out of bed. "What? Really? Why didn't you wake me up you doof?"
"I have been for the last ten minutes," he said as I rushed out of the room and into the tiny living room which had a little walking in closet by my bedroom door.
"I didn't know you slept with teddy bears. That's so adorable," he teased as he leaned against the archway with one of my bears I threw at him earlier in his hand.
"Shut up," I told him as my cheeks began to warm up.
I had my outfit picked out and just needed to shower and dress. I pulled open my bedroom door and made my way to the bathroom that Tyler, Calibur, and I had to share. Since no one else claimed a room in the east wing, we had that huge bathroom to ourselves.
Once in the bathroom, I changed into the clothes I picked out for the day which consisted of a red tank top with a white sweatshirt on top, that says 'I only date superheroes' in thick red lettering. Along with black skinny jeans, a red beanie, and black socks. Before putting on the beanie, I brushed my hair. Once I was done, I put on fake glasses because they remind me of superman. Lastly, I put on my red converse shoes. Before exiting the bathroom, I did my business and brushed my teeth.
"Hey Everly," someone said behind me. I turned around and there standing a couple of feet away from me was Tyler.
"Oh, hey Tyler," I said smiling at him.
"Are you ready," he asked as he walked to my bedroom door, opening it, and peering into the room. "What is Calibur doing your room?"
Then he shouted as he walked into the room, "Dude, what are you doing in Everly's room?"
"Chilling," he answered casually. "What else does it look like I'm doing?"
Tyler looked behind himself and at me. "You ok with this," he stage whispered to me.
I just shrugged my shoulders in response, "Why not. You both are in here already."
I side stepped around Tyler making my way towards the couch.
"Touche," he said following my movement with squinted eyes.
I threw myself on the couch beside Calibur, causing me to sink in to the very squishy, comfy cushions and also Cal to roll towards me.
"Wow, no making out when I'm here, ok? You guys will be making me feel awkward." Tyler shivered.
"Ew, no," I said in disgust as I tried to push, puckering Calibur, away from me. "Don't even think about it." I pointed my finger at Calibur's face, threateningly.
He just laughed at my embarrassment, as I felt my face heat up.
"Oh, hey Ty, look at this," Cal called to Ty as he got up and away from the couch.
"What," Tyler asked as he poked his head out of my mini fridge that mainly only contained beverage.
"Everly has a collection of teddy bears," Cal said a smile as an evil glint shined in his eyes.
"What? No way. Let me see," Tyler said in disbelief, closing the fridge behind himself, rushing over to the other side of the wall.
"What?! No. Cal," I rushed over where they were and saw them grabbing my stuffed bears.
"Wow, Everly. I didn't know you still depended on teddy bears for you to sleep. Scared of the dark?" Tyler generally asked, sounding like he really did care.
As for Calibur, he was just trying to play with me.
"Teddy bears save lives," I pouted angrily. Tyler grinned and nodded his head, agreeing with me.
Teddy bears save lives," Tyler repeated.
Even though Ty was understanding, Calibur was not.
I turned on my heels to face Calibur, even though I had to look up.
"You listen to me bud," I said to Calibur angrily as I pulled the collar of his shirt to bring him down eye level with me. I looked straight into his eyes and continued my threat. "If you tell anyone else about this, you're dead. Got it?"
He nodded his head quickly as I let him go.
"Dude, you just got told," Tyler laughed.
"Same goes for you Tyler," I told him then walked out of my room, deciding on waiting for them out in the hallway.
"Now who got told," I heard Cal say to Ty smuggly.
"We're in the same boat so shut up," Tyler said angrily, walking away from Cal and in my direction. A couple of seconds later, Cal huffed and followed Ty.
"Ready," I asked the boys. They nodded their heads without saying a word. "Alright, then lead the way."
