"Welcome everyone to Discovered Rumors."

The crowd of contestants cheered with excitement.

"My name is Drake Berlin and I'll be the host of this season." A guy around his mid-thirties with dyed blonde hair and black eyes said to the crowd.

"This first week we'll still be going through trials to see who our finalist are going to be," the host, Drake, continued his explaining what was going to be going on once he silenced the crowd.

"This weekend you guys will have to perform a song that is meaningful to you. A song that describes who you are or who you want to be," he looked around the crowed making sure he had everyone's attention.

"Alright. For now, settle in. Tomorrow the contest begins. Prepare yourselves," he clapped his hands once. "You are free to go."

With that said, I took off towards my bedroom to call Eco.

Once I safely made it into my room, I slammed the door closed behind me. Then it dawned on me. I don't have a phone.

I walked to the small cramped bedroom, without really looking at my surrounding but in a different world. I was about to lay down when I saw a head picking out of my covered.

I screamed in fear. Who could be sleeping in my bed?

The intruder rushed up in a sitting position looking alarmed.

"Calibur," I looked at the boy who was asleep in my bed with confusion.

"Everly? Sup, how you doing," he said with a sleepy smile.

"What am I doing," I asked him incredulously. "What are you doing?"

"Uh, I was asleep?"

"Yeah, I could tell. I just don't understand why you are asleep in my bed when your room is on the other side of this room. Which is mine if you haven't noticed already."

He yawned before answering my question, "I was actually waiting for you. I was wondering if you wanted me to help you with this week's song. However, when I came in here to wait for you, I realized I had a couple of minutes to spare before you came back. Since they don't explain the rules until they have there finalist selected."

"Oh. Well, thanks, I guess. But you don't have to. If I have no help, it's less time I have to spend my time in this place."

"It's not that bad," he looked kind of hurt by my words.

"No. It's not you or Tyler or even the people who work here. To tell you the truth, this place is amazing and I love watching the show, but it's not for me. If I stay longer then necessary, I'm just going to make a fool out of my self."

I looked down at my shoes not wanting to look at him. Who knew what he was think. I was just sad that I'm going to disappoint Cal and Ty if they even tried to help me.

I heard some shuffling like he was tossing my blankets to the side.

Before I even noticed, Cal stood in front of me.

"Ever," he said my name in a soft soothing voice.

"Cal," I said back without looking up at him, instead twiddling with my fingers.

He captured both of my hands into one of his while his other lifted my chin up so I had no choice but to look up at him.

"I'm want to help you. Ok? Did you hear me? I'm not going to let you make a fool of yourself."

I nodded my head. I shot him a soft smile.

"Thanks Calibur."

"That's why I'm here isn't? It's not like I came here for vacation." He let me go as he started to joke around. "Plus, this would be a terrible place vacation at. It's not until the week you get to go your coach's house when things get more exciting." He gave me a wink as he left the bedroom and into the living area.

"What," I asked as I trailed behind him, confused with what he was getting at. "What do you mean coach's house?"

"Like it sounds," he took a seat on the gray, comfy couch. "They changed everything this season."

"I noticed a couple of changes from the tryouts but I didn't think they were going to have everything different from the other seasons."

"Well, remember how the judges were coach's also?" I nodded my head. "Well, now the each contestant is going to have their own coach."

"What? Why? Who?" I began shooting question at Calibur, one after another.

"Hold on," he signaled to me. "Let me explain."

"Ok," I held a desperate look on my face, impatiently waiting for his response.

"The judges this year are going to be very busy for some reason I don't know. But the coach's of the contestants are going to be famous star singers they are trying to gather up. They don't care who, as long as they have enough for every one of their finalist."

"How are they getting all these stars to come?"

"They are bargain with them. And since the contestants this year have cash..." He looked at pointedly like I should know what he was getting at.

I shook my head, pursed my lips, and my eyebrows scrunched up in confusion, with no idea what he was trying to say.

He sighed, "They paid."

My eyes widened in disbelief. "What?"

"A couple, actually half of the contestants that got in, paid for their spots."

"They sure dropped down in respect for all those people. I'm pretty sure the one's who paid see them as a bad show if they could pay there way around."

"No, actually many shows do that."

My jaw dropped down. "You're kidding me."

"Sadly, no. Now come on," Calibur got up from his spot and out stretched his hand towards me. "Let's go find a song for you."

I took his hand, giving him a smile.

"We should invite Tyler," I suggested.

"He's really busy right now. Since the show is about to begin and he's the producer. He's got his hands full in the moment."

"Oh yeah. I forgot he was. Maybe next time then."

"Maybe," he looked down at me, giving me a sad smile.
