"Hey, Holden! It's been a while since we last talked," I greeted Hold as I entered the backyard.

"Hey, Ever," he greeted back as he looked over his shoulder and at me. He was sitting on a cushion that was place on the floor in front of a white sheet, a projector on a table beside Holden, projected images onto the sheet.

The sun was slowly setting, so the light bulbs strung around the tree branches, turned on, illuminating the space around us. Not many people were outside with us. Most were actually inside sipping got chocolate while snuggling into their softest blanket while talking with their friends and coaches.

"How's life been treating you," I asked Holden as I took a seat beside him, stretching my legs in front of me like he did.

"Everything's fine so far. Just a little spooked for the elimination part. After every show I feel like I do good but then the day comes when one of us gets eliminated, then that's when I start to believe I didn't do enough." He spoke as he looked ahead, his eyes somewhere else.

"Well, I'm positive you did well this yesterday so don't get so hung up on it. You'll pass. Don't worry, if anything. I'm going to be the first one gone from this place," I tried to cheer him up, shooting him a smile.

"Not even," he shook his head. "You know you're one of the best ones on the show right? If anything, you're going to be one of the last ones to leave or the winner of this year's competition."

"How could you say that? There are so much more talented people here," I looked at him confused. "You and Cyan being two of them."

"Maybe," he sighed. "You're right about Cyan though. He has a different voice. Unique to be specific. You too and don't argue that you don't because we all know it."

I didn't say much to that other than, "Thank you Holden, but you don't have to be so anxious. Just look at it this way. If you go through to the next round, stay true to yourself and work hard, but if you don't and you leave the show, at least you went out and did your best. You got to sing as if it were your last because it possibly can. Don't give up, even if it's the end, continue what you love. There's only one out of hundreds that wins this competition. That one person got luck by its side but the rest of us, we have to keep trying our hardest because in the end it'll all pay off if we tried hard enough. You'll see."

He smiled before giving me a hug. "Thanks Ever." He pulled away. "And you're right. In the end, at least I tried."

"Just remember there is no true end."

"There really isn't, is there?" He got to his feet, stretching a hand down for me to take. Pulling me up once I hand my hand placed in his. "We should go get ready for that elimination, it's about to start in a few and I believe we have to go change and look presentable for the public."

"What?! I am presentable. What you talking about." He laughed.

"Sure. If you say so Ever." He walked inside the house. I saw people walk around him looking frantic and ready to cry any minute.

I shook the fear in me and took my own advice I lended to Holden a few seconds ago. Any thing can happen tonight and I'm ready for the blow that's to come in an hour or so.

I walked up to my room to change into something fresh and clean. I believe I might have dropped some food on my shirt during lunch with Ty and Cyan, earlier in the day.

I switched out of my Batman outfit and into a white crop top and a light green skirt with white polka dots and white converse. It showed a bit of my stomach but I didn't know whether or not we had to dress nice or causal. This was the best outfit I could find last minute that looked both, not too dressy and not too causal. Cal seriously has to give me more information on these events. It felt like I'm going in there blind folded, I have no idea what's going to happen.
