"Hey, Cal-," I heard someone enter the room, calling out Calibur's name with a pause in the middle then finished the rest of his name a moment later, "-ibur."

I opened my eyes confused and curious as to why this person was looking for Calibur in my room and how they got in here in the first place.

I spotted out Tyler first as he stood by the door. Then I looked at my surroundings to see that this was not my room. There was a skylight above that still showed a dark sky.

I lifted up my head, with scrunched up eyebrows, and looked at my surroundings with confusion.

"Hey Tyler," I acknowledged Tyler who just stood frozen by the door.

"Hey." Pause. "Um, where's Calibur, if you don't mind me asking?"

"Ugh," I grumbled as I sat up in bed that was situated in the middle of the huge room. I slouched in my current position. "I have no idea," I finally answered Ty as I looked to my left, where the sheets where crumbled up like someone was once sleeping there.

"He was here when I randomly knocked out. I actually had to go back to my room after, but as you can see, I did not make it." I gave him a grim look.

"Well, I guess I'll just wait until-," he was making his way towards the other side of the room to sit on the couch when he paused, looking at the ground on the other side of the bed.

I launched myself across the bed to see what he was looking at.

There, in all his morning glory, lay Calibur, sprawled out on the floor. With only a pillow to support his head and no blanket.

I grimaced with worry. I hope he doesn't get a cold for sleeping on the cold wooden flooring of his bedroom since we were in fall, and winter was just around the corner. It's usually cold during the nights and early mornings.

"Calibur, wake up," Ty spoke out, trying to wake him up.

Calibur just groaned in response.

"What'd you want, Ty," he mumbled. It's too early to wake up right now."

"Well, if you want to continue having a job in Discovered Rumors then you better get your butt up and ready before eight."

His head shot up, "It's today?" He looked around the room like a dear caught in the headlights.

Tyler just nodded his head in response.

"Shoot." Cal sat straight up in a rush.

He looked around for a bit before his eyes settled upon me. I awkwardly waved at him as I lay comfortably on his bed, looking at him.

"Why am I on the floor," he asked, then added. "And you're in my bed?"

He looked up from the floor towards Ty for answers.

Ty just shrugged his shoulders and said, "Don't look at me. I wasn't here last night." That's when Ty's eyes drifted my way as in hinting to Cal who could possibly know.

Cal followed Ty's line of sight. Silence filled the air until I couldn't take their stares any longer.

"Didn't you say it was today Tyler? We should probably get going. We wouldn't want to be late, now do we," I asked the two boys, hoping they wouldn't notice my stalling.

"Oh, snap! Almost forgot," Cal scrambled to his feet making his way to his closet. As he rummaged through his clothes he looked over his shoulder at me.

"Come on Everly, don't just lay there, go get dressed. I don't want to be late on the most important day of this competition."

"Cuz the contestants are going to be given a coach?"
