"What?" Mel said confused. "What do you mean, one dies one lives? That's bullshit! We came here to save both so we ARE talking both." She demanded and tried to walk to Betty but Mikael stopped her.

"You. Choose." Mikael said . "Who is it gonna be?"

"Screw you."

"That's not an answer."

"And YOU are NOT my father." Melissa reminded.

"One has to die." Mikael kept saying.

"Okay then, you are free to die!" Mel said and smiled. Mikael looked at her serious. "What? You said one. I chose you." She shrugged.

"If you don't choose, I will." Mikael threatened.

"But there is always an option C. In this case option C, was you. Since you don't accept that, we will go for option D." Melissa started saying and Mikael was looking at her. "Since we all know you only hate me and Nik and since I wouldn't sacrifice Nik even if he was here... option D, is me."

Mikael chuckled. "Kol get outside."

"No." Kol denied.

"I SAID GET OUTSIDE!" Mikael shouted. Melissa nodded at Kol, letting him to go outside and he left. "You really prefer dying instead of losing one of these two."

"To be completely honest, I prefer kicking asses." Melissa said as she kicked Mikael in the stomach and threw him against the wall.

"Nice try." Mikael said aggressively.

"Come on, fight me. I challenge you." Mel said showing her fangs. Mikael vamp sped to her and she grabbed him by his arm pressing him against the floor. Mikael rolled to his left and got up. He fought back until he was pinned against the floor once again. "You win some, you lose some. Except for me. I always win." Melissa said quoting her boyfriend which made Kai smirk being proud of her.

"I wouldn't say that since you did lost your child."

Mel's face turned blank and lost. Before she could understand it she was the one on the floor. Mikael pressing her down so she wouldn't get up. Having the white oak stake on his hand.

"Mel no!" Kai shouted as he ran onto the glass. He punched it trying to get out with no success.

Mel looked at him nodding and smiling and then turned to look at Betty. Then she turned her gaze to Mikael and her face turned serious. "Do it." She said through gritted teeth. "Do. it."

The moment Mikael was ready to stake Melissa, Kol vamp sped inside knocking Mikael off. He then turned to Mel and help her stood up. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah." She nodded. "Why are you here? I thought you left."

"You are my sister, I would never leave you." Kol said as he smiled and she smiled back.

"We have to hurry and free them before Mikael makes you choose again."

"Yeah well about that," Mel walked to Mikael and took the white oak stake and replaced it with just a normal one. "I have a plan. Let him wake up." She said and Kol gave her a nod showing he trusts her.

A few minutes later Mikael woke up. He cracked his neck and smirked at the two siblings. "You both are so good at failing. From you Kol I expected better, on the other hand from you Mel I didn't expect much anyway." He said feeling like he was the boss of them. Mel walked up to him aggressively. "Step back except if you really want this stake to go through your heart." He said and Mel stepped backed angrily. "So who is it gonna be? Who is gonna die?"

Melissa looked at her boy friend and her best friend. She mainly stared at Betty. Betty gave her a faint smile. "It's gonna be Betty, and Kai lives."

'Okay then." Mikael walked to Kai and let him out as he staked Betty. She turned grey but Mikael saw that there were no flames, she wasn't on fire. "I don't understand."

"Looking for this?" Kol asked, having the white oak stake on his hand. Mikael looked confused and lost.

"Betty is a banshee, an original banshee. Which means the only way to die is with the white oak stake. The stake you used was a normal one, which means Betty will come back to life in a while and Kai is safe. Which means those children you dared to call a failure, actually beat you." Mel said looking at him with her sassy look as a devilish smirk appeared on her face. She turned to Kai and nodded. Kai gave Mikael painful headaches and made his blood boil. Mikael fell onto his knees, screaming in pain. "You asked me to choose for someone to die. I chose option C, I chose you." Mel said as she took the white oak stake and walked towards Mikael. "Goodbye Mikael, you will so not be missed." She said as he put it through his heart. He immediately got on fire and soon he turned into ashes. Mikael was dead.

After they made sure he was dead they walked up to the for-now-dead, Betty. They unchained her and Kol picked her up as he went out the door and placed her to the car.

Mel turned to Kai. She was so glad that he was okay, that he was alive. "I'm so glad you are alive." she said giving a faint smile.

Kai nodded. "A-are you okay?"

"I'll be fine." she nodded as a tear fell down her cheek. "I'm sorry about..."

"It's okay, we will have more opportunities to be parents in the future." He said tearing up, too. He tried to look into her eyes but she kept looking down. "Hey, look at me." he said softly as he cupped her face, as she finally looked up and he could face her. "It's okay, it's okay." he wiped away her tears as she sobbed. He then hugged her, knowing she could really use a hug at that moment. He wrapped his arms around her and she hugged back.

"I l-love y-you." she said while crying.

"I know you do," he said rubbing her back. They pulled away and he searched in her eyes. "I love you too." he said and kissed passionately.
