Chapter 41

In the morning Mel woke up and still felt the pain. She looked at her wound and saw that it still didn't heal.

Then suddenly she heard someone knocking on the door and hid her wound with her shirt.

"Hey, how do you feel?", Betty said as she walked in and sat down next to her.
"Better.", she answered shortly.
"K and your wound?", she asled suspicious.
"Healed up.", she said and fake smiled so she wouldn't worry about.
"You don't have to lie to me.", Betty told her.
"It hurts like a bitch.", Mel said the truth.
"Why aren't you healing?", Betty asked worried.
"I don't know.", she said.
"Well, Scott told me one time that he didn't heal when he was feeling really guilty about his friend's death.", Betty told her.
"I do feel guilty. I mean everything happened because of me. Because I was so stupid to turn it off again and be with Marcel, just everything.", she told her and looked at the ground.

"Yeah, you should feel guilty. It is all your fault. You know, I could've died in there and you are just... ugh so stupid! No wonder why the Mikaelsons gave you away.", Betty said pissed.

"Hellooooo? Earth to Mel? Are you even listening?", Betty asked as she waved her hand in front of Mel's face.
"S-sorry.", she apologized and realized she just imagined what Betty said.
"Look, you don't have to feel guilty. It's not your fault. It's everyone's fault. You are not perfect and no one wamt you to be. We like you just the way you are. All badass, sassy and also a little bit of trouble.", Betty told her with a smile.
"Thanks.", she said and felt a little better but still guitly.

Betty put comfortingly a hand on her thigh and smiled at her.

"Do you want to bake a poisoned cake with me?", Betty said and smiled devilish, even tho it didn't look develish on her.
"I hate you poisoned cakes!", Mel said.
"But Kai's face is always priceless when he notices it's poisoned.", she said and laughed.

"The word poison and anything related to it are forbidden in here!", Kai said as he walked in with Klaus.
"Shut up Kai. I will never stop with the POISON.", she provoked him.
"You are eviillll!!!", Kai said and laughed a little.

"What's a poisoned cake? Does it taste good?", Isaac interrupted them.
"Like the name says, it's poisoned. You should try it sometime.", Klaus said the words that Kai would want to say but won't for Mel.
"Klaus don't be so mean.
Give him a chance.", Betty told him.

Kai looked at her with his lost puppy face because he thought she was on his side.

"I'm still on your side", she mouthed with her lips.
"You better be!", he formed with his mout and Betty rolled her eyes.

Mel looked suspicious to them both but didn't say anything.

"Why would anyone even bake poisoned cake?", Isaac asked confused.
"To poison someone duhhh", Betty said.
"Yeah but why?", he asked again which made Klaus and Kai sigh annoyed.
"Well, it's fun to poison Kai.", she said and laughed.
"Fun for you maybe!", he played mad.
"I want to bake a poisoned cake with you Betty!", he said.
"No, not you.", Kai warned him.
"Then let's go and party!", Isaac suggested.
"Yes! Great idea!", Mel agreed.
"Yass and we can see Barry again! I heard his girlfriend is in town.", Betty said.
"Barry?", Isaac asked.
"Yeah, Barry Allen.", Mel amswered.
"THE Barry Allen? He exists?", he asked excited.
"No the other Barry Allen.", Betty told him.
"Ha ha, since when are you being sarcastic Betty?", he said.
"No I'm serious. The other Barry Allen. He doesn't even look like The Flash. He has black hair and blue eyes.", she told him.
"He sounds pretty.", Isaac said.
