Chapter 57

As soon as Davina noticed that Betty isn't Betty, she made a sign to Mel to break her neck and then smiled at 'Betty'.

Then Mel snapped 'Betty's' neck and she fell to the ground.

"What are you doing?!", Klaus said and kneed down to her.

"That's not Betty. I could feel it. She is possessed by Esther.", Davina told them.
"That explains why she's been acting strange.", Klaus said.
"How exactly are we gonna get her out of Betty?", Mel asked.
"I don't know.", Davina said.
"What do you mean, you don't know?!", Klaus asked.
"It means that I dONT KNOW!", Davina repeated herself.

Davina picked up Betty's hand and took a bit blood of her body.

"And what are you doing now?", Mel asked her.
"Bringing back Marcel.", she asnwered and waited to get strength from one of them.
"I'm not helping you to bring back Marcellus.", Klaus said.
"He could help us with the Esther problem.", Davina told him.
"Sure he would.", Klaus said.
"He cares for Betty and you know that. He's not gonna let Esther stay in her body.", Davina snapped back at him.
"Fine.", Klaus agreed and rolled his eyes.

After a while Marcel woke up and saw Betty lying on the ground.

"Marcel!", Davina said happy and hugged him.
"Hey, what happened here?", he asked.
"Esther possessed Betty and we don't know how to get Esther out of there.", Kai explained.
"I only know one way but it's not an option.", Marcel said and got everyones attention.
"What is it?", Klaus asked him.
"Kill Betty. Like I said,that's not an option, but it's the only way to get her out forcingly as far as I know.", he said.
"Forcingly? Is there a way to get her out of Betty willingly?", Mel asked.
"Yes. Esther can jump into another body if she wants.", he told them.

Suddenly Betty woke up and looked around to see all the people that looked at her.

"Um, did I miss something?", she asked.
"Don't play innocent! We know that you are Esther!
I will kill you if you don't get out of her body!", Klaus said angry and pressed her against the wall.
"Klaus, let me go!", Betty shouted at him.
"GET OUT OF HER BODY NOW!", he screamed at her and started choking her.
"S-Stop. It's me B-Betty.", she tried to speak.

"I said sTOP!", she screamed
banshee-like at him and could finally breath when he fell down.
"How can she already know how to use her abilities?", Kai wondered.
"Because that's really Betty.", Davina realized and ran towards her with a glass of water.
"Thank you for noticing so early!", Betty said sarcastically and cought.
"I-I'm sorry, Betty.", Klaus said.
"It's okay, you didn't know.", she said and drank the water.

"How is it possible that you are here right now?", Mel asked.
"I don't know. All I know is that it won't last long. Esther is fighting and she is strong.", she told them.
"You are, too. Remember, you are a badass. No, you are THE badass.", Klaus said to her which made her smile.
"She is not in my body for good. She still has to make some ritual and she needs a witch for that. Don't let me out of your sight.", she told them.
"Does she already have the witch?", Marcel asked.
"She-", Betty said and paused.
"What is it?", Klaus asked worried.

"Too bad she can't tell you any more.", Esther possessed Betty again.

And as soon as she said that sentence Mel snapped her neck.

"Sorry but I can't stand her and her boring speeches.", Mel said.

"What are we gonna do now? We can't kill her.", Klaus said.
"We can make a deal with Esther.", Marcel suggested.
"We? Last time I checked you were not a Mikaelson.", Kol said and got an angry look from Davina.
"What would that deal be?", Klaus asked.
"Well since she wants you dead...", Marcel said.
"You want us to hand ourselves over so that you can have Betty all alone? Over my dead body.", Klaus told him pissed.
"Don't you want her back? Are you really that selfish?", Marcel asked him.
"No but if you don't shut your mouth I will-"
"Guys stop fighting! This is not helping at all!", Mel told them.

"What if we tried to 'transport' Esther into somebody else, someone mortal.", Kai suggested.
"She would jump into another body right away.", Klaus told him.

Betty woke up. They all lookes at her, not sure if it was Betty or Esther.

"It's me.", Betty said
"Thank God. See, I told you, you were a badass.", Klaus said and smiled.
"You were right. Well Esther is still fighting.", Betty told them.
"So does she have a witch? How do you do this ritual?", Davina asked.
"She just needs a witch and she has one.", Betty told them the truth.

Klaus sat down next to her and pulled her closer to him.
Esther tried to be as less awkward as possible and put her head on his shoulder but was screaming out of disgust inside.

"Do you know who that witch is?", Klaus asked and looked at her.
"No, not yet.", she said and avoided eye contact to avoid kissing.

"Since you are here how about we bake a strawberry cake again?", Kai tested her because he still wasn't sure if it was Betty. He knew that Betty hated strawberry cake.

"Yes! Let's do it!", Esther said and got up.

After that, they all knew it was Esther and Klaus stopped her from going.

"Don't play with us, mother. We know that it's you.", Klaus told her and made her sit down.
"Thank God. I don't know how Betty can be near you.", Esther said.
"So tell me, what's your deal?", Esther asked.
"What do you want us to offer?", Mel asked her.
"Obviously your lifes. At least one of your lifes.", Esther said.
"Fine. Take me.", Klaus said.
