Chapter 26

"Davina's on her way." Kol said as he ended the call.

Kai brought some more candles as the door bell rang. Kol walked over to the door and opened it.

"Hey." Davina said softly and innocently.

"Come in." Kol said as he gave a faint smile. Davina nodded and walked in. Kol lead her to the living room where the other ones where and where they were gonna do the spell. Kai was making a circle with the candles when Davina and Kol had walked in. "You've prepared the candles. Good." Davina said.

"Care to explain what is gonna happen here?" Klaus asked Davina.

"Melissa will go into the middle of the circle of the candles, the candles will lit up with magic and me and Kai are gonna chant and do the spell." Davina explained.

"Sounds easy." Kol said.

"It sounds, it isn't." Davina replied with a aggressive-ish look. "Shall we start?"

"Yeah, sure." Kai agreed as he looked at Mel, waiting for her to reply too.

"Of course." Mel said and got into the circle of the candles.

"Can you all leave please?" Davina said referring to everyone but Mel and Kai.

All of them just nodded and were about to leave except Kol. "No, I'm not leaving."

"Kol please-"

"I am NOT leaving." Kol said interrupting Rebekah. "I will stay to keep an eye on here." Kol said because he didn't fully trusted Davina.

"Fine you can stay." Davina said rolling her eyes. "But ONLY you." she demanded.

"Ok."
The other ones exited the room. Davina informed Melissa that the spell is gonna hurt and then they started. The candles lit up as Davina and Kai started chanting, the flames got huge. Mel held back the pain trying to not make a sound. Kol was continuously checking up on what Davina was doing and each time when he was sure she was doing nothing wrong he went back looking at his sister.

Suddenly Davina stopped chanting and so did Kai. The candles had no fire anymore as they stopped the spell. "We done?" Kai asked Davina and she nodded. Kai went to walk to Mel but exactly that time the candles lit up once again as Davina started chanting. Mel fell onto her knees as she screamed, holding her head in pain. "What are you doing?" Kai asked Davina but Davina just looked into his eyes making him feel a massive pain, too. He was soon unconscious. Kol vamp sped to her but she stopped him with magic before she magically snapped his neck.

Davina kept going as she stepped closer to Mel. "Stop it please." Mel begged. Davina didn't listen.

After a minute Klaus , who was in another room with the others, felt that something went wrong. He had this instinct twins have. They understand when the other one is in pain and in danger.

"What's wrong?" Betty asked him putting a hand comfort-ly on his shoulder as she saw him putting a hand over his heart.

"Something's wrong." He said as he looked into Betty's brown worried eyes. "I'll be right back." He said as he walked out of the room, heading to the living room. He arrived to see Kol currently dead and Kai unconscious as Davina kept hurting his twin sister with her magic. Most of the room was on fire. Klaus immediately vamp sped to Davina grabbing her from the throat , making her stop the spell. Mel fall down coughing. "Listen now little witch, I'm more than a thousand years old. I've met a lot of people and have been through a lot. All those people ended up dead, you know why? Because they tried to harm my family." Klaus said looking angrily at the witch. He left her and her feet finally touched the ground. "Now because I actually didnt hated you I suggest you to leave as fast as you can before I change my mjnd and decide to kill you." He continued. Davina fastly left and Klaus rushed to his sister looking worriedly at her as she wiped some blood that had come out of her nose.

"I'm okay." she said. Klaus nodded and then put his arms around her, hugging her for the very first time in history. Mel was surprised at first but then hugged back as Betty, Elijah and Rebekah walked in.

"What happened?" Elijah askedas he looked around seeing the carpet and some other stuff burnt and Kol and Kai laying unconscious on the floor.

"Davina happened." Klaus simply answered as him and his twin sister broke the hug.

"Is at least the spell broken?" Betty asked and Mel nodded. "Good." she said (Yeah Brtty like Caroline on 5x11 before she kissed Klaus *.*)

Melissa then turned to face Kol who was still laying down. "We will take care of him. You can go to Kai." Rebekah said as Elijah picked Kol up and carried him to his room. Rebekah walked to the kitchen with Klaus and Betty.

When they were all gone Mel rushed to Kai. "Hey Kai." she said as she cupped his face. "Hey it's me." she slightly shook his head. "It's okay wake up." she said faintly smiling as a tear rolled down her cheek. She shook him a little bit more as she heard no heartbeat. "No Kai please don't leave me." she said as couple more tears came out of her eyes. She layed her head on his chest as she sobbed. She then felt Kai moving and lifted up her head.

"Hey." Kai said smiling.

"Hey!" Mel replied smiling as she cried relieved and pulled him in for a hug feeling glad he was alive.

Klaus, Betty and Rebekah watched them from the kitchen. Suddenly Klaus and Betty heard a crying noise and turned to see Rebekah crying. "Awww are you okay?" Betty asked her.

"Yeah this was just too emotional." Rebekah said referring to Kai and Melissa.

"Aw you're such a cutiepie." Betty said and hugged her.

"I want a hug too!" Klaus complained making a fake hurt face.

Betty playfully rolled her eyes. "You're such a baby times to times." she teased him.

"So I'm not getting a hug?" Klaus kept playing hurt.

Betty stepped closer to him and placed her lips onto his. "Better?"

"Better." he said smiling.

[Later that night.]

Mel jumped onto the bed, wearing her pyjama shorts and on top only her bra. She fell onto the bed , putting her face into the pillow. "What a day." she said tired.

"Are you tired?" Kai said laying next to her.

"Yeah." she replied her face still onto the pillow.

"I can un-tired you." he said as he started doing her massage.

"I like that."

"Mhm... how about this?" Kai said as he leaned closer and placed a kiss onto her neck.

"Hm," Mel said while Kai was making his way from her back to her neck. Then she turned to kiss him and things kept going like that.

Meanwhile Klaus and Betty were laying down on their bed. Betty was reading her book and Klaus looked thoughtful and concentrated. "What are you thinking?" She asked as sje turned and saw him.

"I'm listening."

"Listening to what?" she asked clearly confused.

"My twin sister and her boyfriend having fun." Klaus replied and turned to face Betty smirking.

Betty blushed as he smirked at her. "Nooo stop!" she said as she went under the covers, hiding.

"Come on love, come up here. I already miss your beautiful face." Klaus said and Betty slowly popped her head out. Klaus came closer and kissed her. Betty kissed back and Klaus rolled over her so he was on top and this is how their night continued .
