Chapter 56

"Mommy can you let me down please?" Lissa asked and Mel let her walk. The moment she let her down she ran out of the house and went to Betty. "Aunt Betty?" she said with her soft voice. "Mom! Dad!" Little Lissa shouted and her parents where there in a heartbeat. "Mommy, daddy something happened to Aunt Betty."

"Hey baby it's okay." Kai said picking her up and comforting her when he saw the worried and scared look on her face as Mel went up to Betty.

"Betty! Hey!" Melissa said shaking her best friend. "BETTY!" She shouted. "Klaus! KLAUS!" She shouted her brother's name.

Klaus vamp sped to them and his eyes opened wide when he saw Betty laying down and Mel on top of her trying to wake her up. "What's happening?"

"We don't know! Just bring some blood or something that will bring her strength." Mel said rushing her words. In not even a seconds later Klaus was back with water and a blood bag. Mel at first tried with the blood bag. "Does she even drink blood?" Mel asked confused while panicking and Klaus just moved his shoulders having no idea what the hell was going on. "Just give me the glass of water." Mel ordered and Klaus did so. She at first threw some on her lips but them just threw it all over her face. Betty woke up gasping. "Oh my god I'm so glad you're okay!" Mel said putting her in a hug.

"Why? What happened?" 'Betty' asked confused.

"We have no idea. Lissa found you laying out here on the floor next to... Esther."

"But I am Es-" 'Bett' started saying but then paused. "Oh! Wait what? How is Esther out here? Wasn't she chained up or dead since you guys broke the spell?"

"She is dead, love. We took care of it." Klaus said stepping towards her and Betty took a few steps back. Klaus looked at her confused. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm okay! Nothing to worry about!" She replied and forced a fake smile which seemed weird to Klaus but he smiled back anyway.

"Good." He said before wrapping his arms around her. At first she hesitated to do so too but at the end she hugged back.

"Daddy, I wanna sleep." Lissa whispered to her father sleepily.

"Okay, sweetheart." Kai said and kissed his daughter's forehead and looked at Mel who nodded before he went inside and made his way into Lissa's room.

"Shall we go inside?" Mel said to her brother and best friend.

"Yup! Sure!" Betty said and Mel walked in.

Klaus and Betty followed but Klaus stopped her. "Are you 100% that you are okay, love?"

'Yeah, sure!" Betty said.

"Okay then." Klaus said and they kept walking inside.

"Wish you'd stop calling me love." Betty whispered under her breath.

Klaus stopped once he heard those words because of his vamp hearing and turned around to look at Betty. "What did you just said, love?"

"Nothing, I literally didn't speak. You must have misheard or something." She innocently replied but it wouldn't leave Klaus' mind that something was up. Something was wrong and he was gonna figure it out.

They all walked back in in the living room. Mel, Klaus and Betty. Kai was upstairs obviously and Davina still hadn't left.

"Now how about we bring Marcel back?" Davina said.

"Marcellus can so not take a break of our lives, dead or not. can he?" Klaus quietly said and Davina eyed him.

"Just so you know I will bring him back and since I have learnt how to break that sort of linking spell it is gonna be way easier for me."

"I could help you." Betty offered.

"Betty what are you saying? Help her how? You are not a witch." Mel said.

"But I- Oh yeah right. I just meant like- I thought you could use some of my power so you will be strong enough for the spell." Betty said covering up her identity.

The twins shared a look, confused but also the kind of look that they noticed there was no way their Betty, Betty Celestine Morgan, had been saying all this.

"Oh, okay." Davina said. "That's really true, thank you for the offer." She continued saying as she smiled politely to Betty impressed.

"Anytime!" Betty said returning the smile back to Davina. "So I wanna help as much as I want. The grimoire is here and I can give you my blood. I'm pretty sure you have Marcel's so let's begin."

"Okay.." Davina said with a kinda weird look because Betty seemed too excited.

They started the spell and went it was time for Davina to take Betty's hand and take some of her blood she felt something. When she touched Betty she felt something that wasn't there the previous time their skins had been touched. Davina looked at Betty, searching in her eyes. She wasn't Betty. She could feel it. It was Betty's body but it was Betty-less. She could sense another witch. And then when Davina closed her eyes something flashed like a scene. In the scene she saw esther chanting. She recongized the spell. And she understood what had happened. Esther had possessed Betty.
