Chapter 3: A storm is brewing

Kim's POV

I am currently walking uphill back to the order empire camp. I met a rude but stunning archidon called Grace and we have just parted ways. I have seen the carnage that the swordwrath did and need to report back to the camp to let them know. Wait, the swordwrath are quite far from the order empire, why are they here... I do not want to over think and ignored the fact.

With my trusty old club, we ventured into the harsh forests at the border of the archidon territory. Thunder roared above me and I looked up, the weather is not looking in my favour. Dark clouds are gathering and I haven't reach my camp. All of a sudden, I hear rustling coming from the trees nearby. I took my club and took stance, I waited to see who is it. Is it an archirdon? Or one of the swordwrath? Maybe it is an ally. I was overtaken by uncertainty and my palms are getting sweaty. When I got into the person's line of sight, he suddenly shouted.

"Freeze!"

I froze and dropped my club. I soon realised that it was Mark!

"Holy shit, Kim! We thought you were dead. The superiors were about to send your mother your death certificate! Come on, let's go home man." He said.

I was still deadpanned, shocked to hear and see my best friend right im front of me. Soon, relieve washed over me and I went back to the camp with him.

Out of Kim's POV

Kim and Mark returned back to the camp. Soldiers flooded Kim and are overjoyed that the hero that won them their first battle has returned. It turns out that even King Arthur himself was present to welcome him back.

"We welcome our hero of the order empire, Kim!" King Arthur shouted.

Soldiers roared in happiness and morale seems to have rose. A small party took place to celebrate the Hero's return but Kim do not have time to party, instead he reported to King Arthur about the swordwrath and archidon battle and about the treaty, of course he left grace out.

"This is interesting, the swordwrath and archidons are planning to destroy the order empire however, it turns out that they destroy themselves?" Arthur was puzzeled, he could not believe that this has happened.

At this moment, a soldier rushes into the tent to give a report.

"My lord, it turns out that the archidons have declared war against the swordwrath."

"I supposed that what Kim is saying is not a lie then." Arthur replied.

Arthur started to think of a plan. After 10 minutes, he has thought of a plan that may help the order empire to win the war at a faster pace.

"Kim, are you up for another mission?" Arthur asked.

"I will do anything in your command my king." Kim replied, bowing to Arthur.

"That's the answer I would like to hear. I want you to take 3 soldiers with you and go to the archidon faction to propose a treaty and alliance so that they would win the battle against the swordwrath." Arthur announced.

The generals inside the tent are mumbling among themselves whether it is a good plan to help the archidons, especially when they just had their first battle.

"My lord, i don't think the archidons would want our help, they can fight the swordwrath by themselves right?" one of the generals asked Arthur.

"The swordwrath are merciless barbarians, they will do anything even by sacrificing soldiers in pursue of victory. They will easily over run the archidons at a fast pace. Therefore I would want Kim to take 3 men with him to persuade the archidon leader in signing a treaty and forming an alliance with the order empire." Arthur replied.

Every one in the tent then understood the king and agreed to the plan.

"Kim! I am therefore place you in charge of the recon team to the archidon territory to persuade the leader in signing the treaty!" Arthur declared.

"Yes my lord, I will now get ready to do as you command." answered Kim and he marched out of the tent.

Thunder still roared above and it seems that a huge storm is going to take place.
