Chapter 22:The Last Stand Of The Archidons part 1

6th February 1074, 8.07am

A day since the speech Kim made. The Order Empire is nearing their destination. Just one more day. But the Archidons have no idea that the final assault of the Swordwrath is also coming. It is morning, the beginning of the day where it rains blood.

Meanwhile, recon team has just woken up. Kim and Mark are on their way to breakfast.

"Urgh, I slept terribly last night." Mark whined in pain.

"You probably ate too much." Kim laughed.

"Yeah, maybe." Mark replied and yawned again.

"Hey, are we going to breakfast?" Mark asked.

"Yeah. For the eleventh time." Kim sighed.

"Oh yeah! Last one's there is an rotten egg!" Mark exclaimed and began running.

"Hey! Wait up!" The leader said and ran as well.

8.07am, mess hall

The mess hall is well messy as always. This is commonly known as the soldiers' canteen or cafeteria. Soldiers of the Archidons and seen around. Some are eating, some drinking and some merely just hanging around.

"Hey! There you are!" Grace waved at the sight of Kim and Mark. She was already sat down with Ace and Elizabeth, waiting for them.

"Sorry we're late. Mark was a handful, as always." Kim apologised.

"What? No I'm not a handful. A 'handful' of food is what I need!" Mark said and then ran to the food.

"Man, what an idiot." The prince remarked.

"It's just like him." The hazelnut haired girl laughed.

They were enjoying their breakfast when suddenly the extreme loud sound of bells ringing outside was heard.

"It's the Swordwrath! They're here!" An Archidon ran in and exclaimed.

At that moment, all of the soldiers ran out of the mess hall and headed towards the armory.

"What will we do?" Mark asked.

"It's obvious, we fight." Kim said with determination.

"Recon team, hurry to your weapons, meet outside the castle in fifteen minutes got it?" Kim commanded.

Recon team nodded and ran to their rooms, wearing their armor and equipping their weapons.

8.38am, outside the castle

It was chaos. Archidon soldiers rushing to the gate and the walls, commanders shouting out orders and civilians running to safety.

"Alright, is everyone here?" Kim asked.

"Yes, everyone is present." Grace replied.

"Alright, Grace where are we deployed to?" The leader asked.

"The southeastern wall, I heard that the defences are crumbling." The blond haired girl answered back.

"Alright the southeastern wall it is, let's go!" Kim commanded and they ran towards the wall.

At the wall, it was crazy. The Swprdwrath soldiers have already taken the walls and the gates are being opened. Archidon soldiers are seen running away from the battle.

"Alright, who's ready to take out these savages?" Kim asked.

There was no reply, instead recon team readied their weapons as an answer.
