6th February 1074, 11.30am
Casualties are rising and morale is dropping for the Swordwrath. The Archidons on the other hand were doing fine. Even though they had a rocky start, they are slowly taking control of the battle. It looks like the tables have turned, the balance of power has dramatically shifted to the Archidons' favour. However, at the southeastern gate, things are not looking good. The Swordwrath have broken through and are destroying everything in their path. The fight between a general of the Swordwrath and the leader of recon team from the Order Empire are going to engage.
"You bastard, what have you done to them?!" Kim shouted and charged towards the Swordwrath general.
"I disposed of them! Just like how I am going to dispose you!" Siegfried shouted back.
The two seemed evenly matched. Neither of them are overpowering the other, it just seems that the fight will go on forever. Their strikes are at the same speed and same force. It will not be easy to overpower the other.
"Not bad hot shot, but this is just a warm up!" Siegfried shouted as he deflected another attack.
"Incantation Angel of Water I invoke your might to give me your power!" Siegfried chanted and a string of water appeared on his palm.
The water string expanded and enveloped Kim in a whirlpool.
"It is finish, I win." Siegfried
confidently said.
"Odin's style, Way Of The Spear!" Kim chanted and the whirlpool disappeared.
"What?! What did you do?!" The white haired man exclaimed.
"With my arm, I will slice through that wretched body of yours!" Kim exclaimed and rushes towards Siegfried.
"Damn it! You, a lowly Order Empire scum dares to challenge me?!" Siegfried said as he blocked Kim's sacred Spearton attack.
"Yes, a lowly scum from the Empire that you used to be from!" Kim shouted and forced his way through, breaking Siegfried's sword.
Siegfried's sword broke and Kim pierced through his body, leaving a large hole showing Siegfried's insides.
"Bastard!" Siegfried coughed out blood.
"To think that I must go all out on a scum like you!" He continued and immediately, a blue aura surrounded Siegfried.
"Incarnation Angel of Water, I invoke you and lend me your strength. Heal my wounds and grant me strength!" Siegfried chanted and his wound begins to close.
"Impossible! I pierced right through you!" Kim exclaimed.
"You can't kill me scum!" Siegfried shouted and a new sword made of ice formed in his hand.
"Answer me Prince Mordred! Why do you betray the Empire?!" Kim shouted.
"I had enough!" Siegfried shouted and clashed with Kim's club.
"Why, answer me?!" Kim asked and smacked away Siegfried's sword.
"I fight for true peace! There's no such thing as peace in this wretched world! I shall fight through the darkness and achieve peace my way!" Siegfried shouted and charged towards Kim.
"You are wrong! True peace can be achieve without any conflict!" Kim shouted back and blocked Siegfried's attack.
"Let me ask you then, what do you fight for?!" Siegfried asked.
'What?' Kim thought to himself.
"That's right! You don't fight for anything! You are just like a mindless body without a soul, living for no reason!" Siegfried shouted back.
'What's your reason to fight then?' Kim remembered Grace's words.
'Damn it, why am I thinking of that now?' Kim thought to himself.
"Come on! What's wrong?! Aren't you fired up to kill me?!" Siegfried mocked and is beginning to push Kim back.
"Answer me!" Siegfried shouted at the top of his lungs and broke Kim's club.
Siegfried then sliced Kim's chest area. A diagonal slice from his right shoulder to his left hip. Blood start to flow profusely and Kim fell to the ground on his back. He stared into the sky, the azure blue sky with clouds just like white cotton floating in the sky.
"You are finished." Siegfried said as he took deep breaths.
'We welcome our hero of the Order Empire, Kim!' Kim thought of the words from his King when he returned to the Empire.
'That's it!" Kim thought.
"I finally found a reason for fighting." Kim said as his forehead start to bleed and he started to get up.
"I got it. Ever since I was part of the Order Empire, I had this desire without even noticing." Kim said has he gasp for air.
"Oh? What is it you scum?" Siegfried asked.
"I wanted to be..." Kim said as he readied his scared Spearton attack.
"The Hero Of Order." Kim finished.
Siegfried and the Swordwrath soldiers were deadpanned.
"HAHAHAHAHA! What a joke!" Siegfried laughed out loud and the Swordwrath force laughed as well.
"I know it sounds stupid, but I have made up my mind. I want to, wait no. I will strive to be a Hero Of Order." Kim said as he concentrated his strength to form his attack.
"I will save everybody I cared for and no one will suffer again." Kim continued.
"Stop talking so idealistically, a world like that does not exist. I learned that and became what I am today. That's why I strived to make a new world. " The Swordwrath general stated.
"No you're wrong." Kim stated.
"Peace cannot be brought by one person alone, it can be only be brought by everybody working together. You can try to bring peace yourself but you will fail. With the help and work from everybody, that's when true peace can be achieved. Not through wars and disruptions." Kim continued.
"Enough! Let our blades do the talking. Since both of us do not have much power left, let's settle it with a single strike. Let's see which is more sharper, you arm or my blade?!" Siegfried exclaimed.
"Very well. Let's finish this." Kim agreed.
They both then stood silent, until an arrow struck the ground and the two warriors charged against each other.
It was as if time stopped, they attack at the same tine. They both looked pretty strong but until... Siegfried's ice sword broke. But Kim fell to the ground.
"I won." Siegfried said and vomited out blood.
"Lord Siegfried!" A Swordwrath soldier approached him.
"I'm fine, give the order to retreat. This battle is a lost cause anyway." Siegfried commanded.
"Yes my lord and it also appears that the higher ups have decided to pull out as well." The Swordwrath soldier replied.
"As expected. We lost this siege. Turn back, we are going!" Siegfried commanded and they marched out of the citadel in defeat.
Victory for the Archidons, but not without a price.
