Chapter 4: Gathering of recon team

Kim makes his way out of the tent. He was excited, he had veen given his first ever mission by the king himself. Now all he need to do is to find and arrange his recon team and they will do some diplomacy with the archidon leaders.

Kim's POV

Heck yea! I am given an important task by the king! Now all I need are 3 strong soldiers who are willing to join me. First up, Mark.

Out of POV

Kim makes his way to the fire place and found mark laughing with his friends.

"Hey mark! I need to talk to you!" Kim shouted across the fire place.

Mark turned to Kim and immediately stood up and jogged to him.

"What's up bro?" he asked.

"I have orders from the king himself to take 3 men to the archidon territory to do some diplomacy and I would like you to join my team." Kim casually said.

Mark dropped his jaw, his friend has been given orders from the king to do an extremely difficult mission.

"Are you insane!?" shouted mark. "This is extremely dangerous, it might be even a S class task do you know that?!"

Kim covered his ears and looked at Mark confused. "Well, duh. The mission was given by the king after all." Kim said.

Mark couldn't believe his ears and eyes, his best friend was given an extremely difficult task and he is not even nervous or afraid.

"Fine, I will come with you. Only to not let you get killed." said Mark.

"Seriously mark? Don't jinx me that I may die. I swore to my mother that I will come back home after the war." Kim said.

Mark chuckled and the two friends went to find more members.

Kim's POV

"So who are the 2 others that may join us? Asked mark.

"Hmm, that is a good question... I have no idea." I said.

Mark facepalmed himself.

"What? I do not have many friends like you mark!" Kim shouted.

And so, mark and I started to scout out some members.

"Hey, can I invite her?" asked mark.

"Her? Who's her?" I asked.

"Seriously Kim? You do not know the most beautiful soldier in the order empire?" Mark asked.

"Hmm, I have no idea." I answered with a smile.

Mark just comically fall straight to the ground, disappointed.

"Hey! What was that supposed to mean?" I shouted at Mark.

"Kim, you really are an oblivious aren't you?" Mark said.

I just couldn't stand but sigh. It is true that I may be a little oblivious but is it necessary to exaggerate on it?

"Ok, who's she then?" I asked again.

"She is Elizabeth, the most beautiful and powerful soldier in the order empire!" Mark exaggerated.

"Well, whatever. As long as she is strong enough to stay alive I will welcome her with open arms." I said with a bored tone.

Mark was glaring at me, "Seriously Kim! You oblivious man with no hormones! We are inviting the most beautiful lady to our team and that's your reaction!?" Mark shouted at me.

"Chill, relax. I was just saying the facts, if she were to die, it does not matter if she is beautiful right?" I said.

"Well, I guess that's true..." said Mark.

And then we walked up to the 'beauty' elizabeth and asked whether or not she wants to join us. Elizabeth has long flowing hazelnut colour hair. Well, at least it is true that she is beautiful. We persuaded her and she accepted our invitation. Mark was drooling at how beautiful is she. (Disgusting mark).

"As long as it is the king's orders I cannot disobey. I will be in your hands now, leader Kim." she said while bowing down to me.

It was extremely embarrassing for me, the guys around me are also staring daggers on me. I immediately told her to rise. When we were looking for a new member for our team, a soldier suddenly came up to me.

"Kim, you have been summoned by the king." said the soldier.

Mark and Elizabeth looked at me in shocked, I was shocked as well, why would the king suddenly summon me? I did not ask any questions and just follow the soldier.

"Meet me at the campfire, I will come as soon as I am done." I said to both of my teammates.

I walked into the tent and saw the king and a man at about my age with auburn hair. He looked similar to the king.

"You called for me my lord?" I bowed down and said.

"Arise Kim, I summoned you here to ask you whether or not you have found your teammates?" My lord asked.

"Unfortunately, I have not found my last teammate. My apologies my lord." I said.

"No matter, in fact excellent. I would like you to take my son Ace, with you for the mission." My lord said.

"My lord, sorry but I could not risk the life of lord Ace on my mission." I said.

"Are saying that I am too weak to join you?" said Lord ace.

He suddenly pulled out a sword and almost cut my head off. In reflex, I grabbed my club from my back and stopped the sword  in the nick of time.

"You're not half bad." Lord ace said with a smirk.

"Ace! Your actions are disrespectful, lower your blade!" Shouted king arthur.

Ace does what he is told and sheathed his blade. I also put away my club.

"Heh, you are still using clubs? Jeez, how poor is the empire?" lord ace said.

I gritted my teeth, I wanted to punch him but he is the son of the king. If I do anything hasty, I might be locked up.

"My apologies lord Ace, I should not have acted aggressively towards you." I said in an apologetic manner.

"Ahem, therefore I would like you to take Ace to your mission on diplomacy." My lord stated.

"As you wish, my lord." I bowed my head and left the tent with lord ace.

"Lord ace-" I tried to speak but he cut me off.

"Just call me ace, I do not like people classifying me into a different status." he said.

"Umm, ok ace let's rendezvous with our teammates." I said.

And so, Kim meets up with his group and ace to go complete the mission King Arthur had given them.
