Chapter 35: Hero Of Light

12th March 1074, 1.44pm

"He's down. The Griffins' leader has fallen!" A Spearton soldier shouted in joy.

The rest of the soldiers rallied and shouted in joy.

"KIM!" Grace screamed and rushed towards the unconscious leader.

The rest of the Griffins followed her but were stopped by Spearton soldiers.

"Let go of me you bastards!" Mark shouted, forcing his way through.

Grace was also held back by Spearton soldiers.

"LET ME GO! YOU BASTARDS! I'LL KILL YOU ALL STARTING WITH HIM!" Grace shouted while pointing at Captain Oliver.

Captain Oliver is in a bad shape too, his left arm is bleeding profusely and his right arm is dislocated.

"My brothers, let them pass." The Spearton Captain commanded.

The soldiers heeded their captain's orders and let the Griffins go. The Griffins rushed to their unconscious leader.

"Don't worry, the tough bastard is still alive." The captain panted.

The Griffins checked for Kim's wounds while Grace rushed to Kim and hugged his body. They were then shocked to see that most of his wounds have already healed.

"What the hell?" Ace said as he looked at Kim's wounds disappearing one by one.

The captain was also shocked, he has never seen such fast regeneration in his life, not even the Magikill's magic heals this fast.

"Captain, shall we kill them?" A Spearton soldier asked in a sinister tone.

Oliver took another look at Kim and sighed. "No, we will escort him to Orilon."

"What?! Captain, but you said-" The soldier was cut off by Oliver.

"Yes, I did say that we would kill them if I won. But after seeing that man fight and using a forbidden art of our race, I wanted to ask him many things." The captain replied.

"As you wish, Captain Oliver." The soldier said in anger.

"Why are you keeping us alive?" Elizabeth asked.

"You guys have potential, it will be a shame to kill you all." The captain replied and walked away.

The soldiers then took their captain back to their camp and proceeded to treat his wounds. The Griffins followed them to their camp and carried Kim to a tent where they lay him down.

Kim's POV, inside Kim's thoughts

What happened? Did I finally die? I lost the duel right?

I opened my eyes and looked around, there is nothing, just pitch black. Suddenly, I saw a light from the sky penetrating through the darkness.

"You sure like to get yourself killed"

A voice came from the light. I looked closely and I saw a man at around my age, wearing a Spearton uniform from the age of the First Five Nation Great War.

"What the. Who are you?" I asked.

"My name is Argus Kenning, the previous reincarnation of the
Hero Of Light." The man said.

"Hero of light? What is that?" I asked.

"No time to explain to you, but I am here to warn you something. The Hero Of Light is responsible for keeping you alive till now. With out him, you are probably dead now."

"What? What are you talking about?!" I shouted.

"You will be facing tough challenges ahead of you. So be ready for it." He said and disappeared into the light.

"Hey! Wait!" I exclaimed.

And I woke up.

Out of POV

13th March 1074, 12.56am,
Spearton Camp

Kim shot his eyes open and panted for air.

'What was that? A dream? Must be a dream.' Kim thought.

Kim got up and felt a stinging pain in his chest. He expected a large bandage around his body but to his surprise, there wasn't.

"What? Where am I?" Kim asked and looked around.

He is currently lying on a makeshift bed inside a large tent with his belongings next to him. He got off the bed and headed outside. He was then shocked to see that he was inside a Spearton camp. There were Spearton soldiers everywhere, doing their own business. He panicked and rushed to his sword which is missing so he stood in a fighting stance in front of Spearton soldiers. That caught the Spearton soldiers' eyes and they frown. They started to form up around Kim with their weapons.

"You Order Empire scumbag! We saved your life and now to turned against us?!" A soldier shouted.

"Brothers! To arms! Kill that unappreciative bastard!" Another shouted and the soldiers charged at Kim.

Kim dodged all of their spears and tried to punched one of the soldiers but they blocked it with their shields. However, to their surprise, Kim's punch pierced through the shield, landing a hit onto the soldier's face. Kim was also surprise at his monstrous strength.

'How did I get this strong?' He thought to himself.

"What the fuck? That guys just punched through steel!" A soldier exclaimed.

When the soldiers are about to attack Kim again, a shout was heard from behind them.

"What do you idiots think you are doing?!" It was Captain Oliver's voice.

"Captain, he got up from his sleep and started to attack us!" A soldier reported to him.

"Where am I? And what do you guys do to my teammates?" Kim asked.

Oliver took a look and was shocked to see a Spearton shield with a pierced hole.

"Your friends are safe, they where not hurt." The Captain said.

Oliver then picked up the shield. "Did you do this?" He asked.

"Yeah... I did it." Kim replied.

Oliver took another glance at him and turned away. "After you see your friends, come look for me in my tent."
"Okay." Kim replied.

"The rest of you are dismissed and are not allowed to kill our guests, understood?" Oliver commanded.

"Yes Captain!" The soldiers shouted in unison.

Kim then took another look at his arm.

'Is this the strength of the
Hero Of Light?'
