January 26th, Year 1074, 3.56pm
"Dammit! Elizabeth is missing!" Kim exclaimed.
"Huh!?" Ace said.
"I thought she was behind you!" Mark shouted at Ace.
"Huh?! I don't have eyes behind my back you know!" Ace scolded back at Mark.
"There's no use fighting now, we have to go find her." Kim stated.
"I'm gonna find her, you guys wait for me here." Kim said.
At the moment he was about to enter the Misty Forest, Grace grabbed his hand.
"You do not know the way through the forest probably. Therefore I will come with you to find her." Grace said with a slight blush on her face.
"Alright then. Ace and Mark, prepare to set up camp. We will camp here for the night." Kim said.
"Yes!" Ace and Mark replied.
After that, Kim and Grace entered the forest once again to find Elizabeth.
Elizabeth's POV
"Huh, have I been here just now?" I asked when I saw a piece of cloth I hung to a tree about 30 minutes ago. Dammit! I'm lost! I shouldn't have spaced out like that. Ah! Why must I daydream at a time like that!
"Kim? Mark? Ace? Grace? Anyone?" I shouted.
When I thought all hope was lost, I remembered Kim's words:
Light up a fire if you got separated from us, light up a fire.
Or something like that. And so, I tried my best to make a fire. I hope Kim could come and rescue me.
Out of POV, with Kim and Grace
"Elizabeth! Where are you!? If you hear this, make a sound!" Kim shouted.
"She couldn't have wandered so far into the forest now can she?" Grace asked.
"I don't know." Kim replied.
"Elizabeth!" Kim shouted again.
At that moment, they spotted a fire in the midst of the thick fog.
"That is a fire, it must be Elizabeth!" Kim shouted and sprinted towards the fire.
"Hey! Don't be reckless!" Grace shouted and sprinted behind him.
At the moment they reach the fire, they saw that Elizabeth wasn't there. In fact, no one was there.
"What? Who set up this fire?" Kim asked.
"Wait, I've heard rumours of bandits hiding in the forest." Grace said.
"What? Bandits?" Kim asked.
"Yes. From the rumours I have heard, the bandits would target small groups of 2 to 3 and even set a fake fire to attract their victims." Grace replied.
"Which means..." Kim said and took a look around.
Bandits came from all directions and have smirks on their faces.
"Kill the boy but spare the girl! Steal everything that they have!" One of the bandits shouted.
After his command, the bandits rushed in and proceeded to attack them.
Immediately, Kim pulled out his club and Grace pulled out her bow and reloaded the arrows.
"You guard my back, I'll guard yours!" Kim commanded.
"Okay!" Grace replied while shooting the bandits with incredible speed.
Kim meanwhile was killing the bandits with untamed savagery. He was swinging his club back and forth, killing several bandits at the same time.
"Who are these guys?" One bandit asked in fear.
"That helmet, she's an archidon! And that uniform the boy's wearing, his from the order empire!" Another bandit shouted.
"Regroup! These two are trained soldiers, we are no match for them!" A bandit shouted.
With that bandit's command, the others retreated and ran away.
"Phew, that was tough." Kim said.
"Yeah, I didn't expect the rumours to be-." Grace was cut off when she sees that Kim's right arm is bleeding.
"Kim! Your right arm!" She shouted.
"Oh, it's nothing. It will stop bleeding eventually." Kim replied with a smirk.
"No you idiot! What if it got infected? That's a pretty bad cut too." Grace shouted.
"Come! Let me help you." Grace commanded.
"Okay..." Kim said.
Kim and Grace sat down on the floor and she quickly started to stop the bleeding and do some first aid to stop it from getting infected.
"Alright, that should do it." Grace said and tied a bandage over his wound.
"Thanks." Kim mumbled.
"Let's go, we still have a missing soldier to find." Kim commanded.
"Yeah, let's go." Grace said.
5.00pm
Kim and Grace found Elizabeth in the forest and started to walk out of the forest.
"I'm really sorry that I became a burden to you guys." Elizabeth apologised.
"Like I said, it's fine. This is the fifth time you apologised." Kim said.
"But I wasted your time and even caused you to be injured." She said.
"That injury is nothing. I was glad that you weren't hurt Elizabeth." Kim said.
Elizabeth blushed wildly and hid her face away from Kim while Grace ignored them but is slightly to vet annoyed.
And so, they returned back to the campsite and rested for the next day.
