Chapter 2: Kim wakes up.

Kim had fallen down a cliff to sacrifice himself with an archidon. But he came around alive.

Kim's POV.

"What... happened...Where am I? This place is neither heaven nor hell. Am I still alive?" I said to myself and find myself next to a river.

'Oh, I fell into a river and survived. Wait, if I am still alive, that archidon must be alive as well!' I thought in my mind.

I got up and walked on the shoreline to look for the archidon. After walking five minutes, I found my weapon in the sand. I got it and continued to look for the archidon. Minutes later, I found him. I ran to him and realised he is still unconscious. I removed his helmet and found out that it was a girl! I was shocked, I never expected a women going to a battlefield. I looked closely at her face, she was actually beautiful. She had blond hair to her shoulders and a piercing on her nose.
A second later, she regained consciousness. She opened her eyes and saw me. Immediately, she reached for an arrow but realised all her arrows were swept by the river.

"Woah, calm down. I won't hurt you." I said panicking.

"Why should I trust you, you may find a right time and strike me!" She shouted.

"I have no intention of doing that, I swear." I said that while raising my right hand.

After the archidon done some thinking, she finally made up her decision.

"Fine I trust you but stay away from me." She shouted.

"Fine, I was about to go home to y'know." I said.

"Umm, where are we?" She asked me.

"I don't know." I replied.

"So, what are you going to do?" I asked.

She gave me a 'duh' expression. "Going home."

We are walking together silently not looking at each other.

"Why are you following me?" She asked.

"Why? My camp is that way." I answered.

She stared at the river and was shocked.

"Look, the river." She said.

I turned to the river and scared the living daylights of me. The river is turning red! I walked up to the river, cupped my hands full of water and smell it.

"Its blood, a huge battle is taking place upstream." I said.

She looked at me shocked and ran upstream.

"Hey wait!" I shouted and ran behind her.

After 10 minutes of running, we saw bodies of archidons and swordwrath scattered along the shore.

"A battle between the archidons and swordwrath. That's strange, I thought the archidons and swordwrath are friends." I said.

"And it seems that the swordwrath were victorious." The archidon said while looking at swordwrath flags all around.

"Those bastards, they violated the treaty." The archidon said.

"Umm... By the way, what's your name?" I asked.

"Grace, you?" She answered.

"Kim." I answered.

Out of POV and into Grace's POV.

That's nice to know, the guy's name is Kim. I see my people on the hill with swords impaled. I felt angry, my own people were slaughtered by those bastards. The plan was to steal intel on the order empire so that the swordwrath and archidon can crush it at ease. Instead they violated the treaty and ambushed us.

"I swear I will avenge you guys." I said with pure hatred.

I wanted revenge against those beasts right now. Anyway, this guy or 'Kim' is getting on my nerves. I took him as hostage so that I could maybe get out unharmed, instead he just have to push me down the cliff and fall into a river. The worst thing is that his camp is at the same direction as mine! I could not wait to kill him but doing that would be pointless and I may use him for future purposes.

"Hey look!" shouted Kim.

Out of Grace's POV

The two soldiers from different factions looked at a crossroad and found out that it is time to part ways.

"Thank god, I can go home!" Shouted Kim.

"Shut up imbecile, the swordwrath may be still around. Do you want to be killed?" Grace answered back.

Kim glared back at grace. "What's your problem?" Kim answered back with an angry tone.

"The next time we meet, it will be at the battlefield. Don't you dare die, you can only be killed by my arrow numbskull." Grace said in a cold tone.

"Fine then, if it is a fight you want, it is a fight you will get." said Kim with a smirk on his face.

After they declared their own war, both of them went different paths. And so, the tale of these two soldiers begins.
